1981 Mercedes-Benz 380SLC (C107) You have found a very rare Mercedes coupe as only 2,052 380SLC coupes were sold in 1981. This beauty is completely original and numbers matching. It has never been repainted and its light blue paint stills shines nicely. It does have some very minor rusting on the bottom inside of the doors at the corners which is not visible when the doors are closed. Under very close exam you will also notice a few very small rust bubbles on the front fenders under the marker lights as well as on the lower right rear quarter panel right in front of the rear wheel. Considering that the paint is all original and 30 years old it has held up incredibly well. The dark blue interior is all original as well except for the brand new Alpine CDE-100 stereo. Other than some slight fading on the front seats it still shows very nicely as well. It was retro fitted with a Duplex Timing Chain in 1985 at Mercedes expense. It has been regularly serviced and it currently has 95,105. The car was just serviced which included recharging the A/C, an oil change, a new oil filter, a new fuel filter, a tranny flush, a new tranny filter and a complete tune up (plugs, plug wires, cap & rotor). It runs great and everything works as it should except for the fact that the power antenna is not working. Overall this is a very clean car that is destined to increase in value. In our opinion this car is well above an average car which has an N.A.D.A. value of $13,750.
