Vehicle Detail

IF YOU HAVE ANY INTEREST IN THIS TRUCK, read this: I have the original title & paperwork, this is a true one-owner 1976 Chevrolet Blazer K-5 It is not perfect, but is only a few fun-spent dollars from being a cream puff. It is in fantastic shape. If I didn’t have so many other projects, I would keep this and here is all I would do to make it more awesome: Several years back, the old man turned into his own fence-post and damaged the right side door (see pictures) and then he found a half-gallon of bondo…There you have it, either have the door professionally fixed (not too bad looking now really) or have fun shopping for a new door & swap all of the original accessories. It really isn’t that bad. I have owned & quick-resto’d many old Chevrolets. They are fun, and this one is a perfect donor to any father-son project or whatever. It has simply aged exactly like it should have for 35+ years old. No major rust issues, just your light normal spots, never tended to & easily worked into a good paint job that a truck like this deserves. It didn’t get plagued with what many 73-79 Chevys got from having poor gutter drains, so no rotted rust-cancer. Some ¼”dia. bubbled spots along the front hood line…That’s all. The next owner will have fun taking off the small pieces & cleaning & painting them & putting them back together. Like all older cars, a dozen cans of flat-black paint on the usual critical areas in the fender-wells, under the hood & the under-carriage. For you guys out there that have done this like I have, you know exactly what I mean, easy stuff & makes it look like a million dollars. It could use a few small $12-15.00 trim pieces from either “Year One”, or “LMC” or whoever you like to use. All windows, cranks, handles, everything works. Interior, every piece is there, all in good shape. The top has never been removed. Under the hood, your usual 350ci, unmolested with a perfectly operating QuadraJet Carburetor. Factory a/c with the original A6 compressor, works like it should. Cruise control is all there but I have not checked it. However like everything else on these trucks (if you know what you’re doing) it costs your time and just a few dollars in parts to fix. I could go on and on about all the little things that could be done that makes finding vehicles this clean so much fun…But if you bid right, you can make your own list and do what you want. I think only a fool would try and change this truck from factory. You just don’t see them this complete, in this condition too often. If you want a mud truck, go buy one for $2500.00 and mess that one up. If you aren’t handy & want something to show off at a country club, go to the dealer & spend $40,000.00 on something new or wait for one of these to be done by someone else and hit one of those auctions on TV & have you’ll one of these for $20,000.00. I don’t answer the stupid questions that the stupid people ask. But if I failed to mention anything or if you wanna know about something specific, I will help out, no problem. I can also send multiple pictures from any angle you want. This truck needs a good home. The 4 wheel drive works as good as everything else does. We never found the extra-wide beauty rings for the truck version factory rally wheels. There’s another thing that’s cheap & easy to find. A $2.99 can of Engine-Brite degreaser & aa coating of armor-all or WD-40 would make the entire engine compartment look like new, don't let the picture fool you. If I clean this truck up I am gonna keep it. Now bid on this before I change my mind…you can come see it in person in Dade City. The price will be controlled by the bidders, no reserve because it is what it is. Don’t miss this truck. If you have an awesome offer, just bid instead, I will not end this auction. It will expire and the lucky bidder will win. This truck, your commitment & my integrity all deserve fair play. Thanks On Jan-30-13 at 05:57:20 PST, seller added the following information: Somehow I forgot to submit a picture of the passenger side. Thanks to everyone who reminded me! I'm uploading it now.
