This is a no reserve auction for a running car with a clear title in hand. Highest bid wins, and you can drive it home the same day! About the car: I bought the car two years ago and have driven it for about 20,000 of the 94,000 miles it has on it. It runs great, has been well maintained, and every light, button, and feature works. The turbo-boosted engine is strong, the manual transmission zips along, and it's really fun to drive. Just four months ago, I drove the car on a 1200 mile roadtrip without any issues or worries whatsoever (I literally made it 470 miles from New Orleans to Atlanta on one tank of gas!). The cloth top goes up and down automatically at the press of a button, and without any issues - and it was just re-sealed/waterproofed last summer. I've tried to include pics to show the defects, but overall it's a good looking car that people are generally surprised to find out is over a decade old. The bad news: Unfortunately, a truck drove into the rear quarter panel while I was trying to merge in stop and go traffic earlier this week. I have continued to drive the car since that incident, and have not had any problems or concerns. While the damage appears to be just cosmetic (I am not a mechanic and have not had one look at it), and is limited to just the panel (the door thankfully emerged unscathed), I decided it's finally new car time. It's still a great car, that's served me well, and is not ready for the junkyard just yet. I do still have the plastic trim pieces for this panel which appear to be undamaged. If you have a buddy that does body-repair, this is a steal. The fun features: Even though it's a turbo that requires premium gas, it's a fuel sipper that is lightweight and accelerates amazingly quickly. If you're not familiar with the Saab 9-3 Convertible, the top automatically folds into a compartment in the trunk (and is a really fun thing to do at stop-lights while waiting for the light to change!). This car also has all the quirky features Saab is loved for: a Night Panel button that blacks out all the lights on the console except the speedometer (for when you want to drive like a speed demon), wipers on the headlights, and the keyhole is in the center console. Unlike most convertibles, this one has a glass rear window, with a defroster, so there's no worry about it cracking or getting cloudy. The powered, leather heated seats are great for cold early mornings or winter days. All four power windows work, with a one-touch down button. The on-board computer has a convenient "distance to empty" display, or can display the temperature or the distance to a set destination. I've included a photo of the original sticker for the car so you can read all of the features for yourself. As far as the interior, it looks surprisingly clean for an 11 year old car. There are a few normal wear and tear scratches and stains inside and out, but for the most part it's looks good overall and is very comfortable. Also included is a copy of the owners manual, the original sticker from when the car was brand new, and the Saab Technical Manual for this model (which I bought as a program on a computer CD, but was never able to get to install correctly). The disclaimers: While I know it's a great car and is not a lemon by any means, I do want to disclaim as much as I can so you know what you are getting into. When I bought the car, it had a clunking noise when going over bumps or around turns that sounded like it was coming from the suspension. Midas diagnosed it as worn shocks and struts and replaced them all (covered by a lifetime warranty - paperwork for it comes with the car). The noise continued, but both Midas and another local repair shop say that everything about the suspension is fine - so I have just tolerated it. The other notable issue is that the check engine light occasionally comes on. It usually stays on for a day or so, returns no code when plugged into a computer, then goes out for a while, only to return every now and then (again, it has done this since the day I bought the car). Lastly, there is strip of rubber on the outside of one rear window which is split (the OEM replacement part from Saab is $70, but I didn't think it was worth the expense). Otherwise, there are just some minor scuffs due to general wear & tear/age. I have done my best to include a lot of photos so you can look through them for any flaws that may bug you later. Feel free to ask questions. The terms: Bid away - the highest bidder at the end of this auction wins. A non-refundable $500 deposit is due via Paypal within 24 hours of the close of the auction, with the balance due in cash upon pickup. On Jan-27-13 at 15:03:51 PST, seller added the following information: I want to keep the bidding fair and honest for those who really intend to buy this car. If you have a feedback score of less than 10, please contact me prior to bidding or your bid may be cancelled.
