Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1989 Ford Mustang LX with a 2.3 liter 4-cylinder engine and an automatic transmission. In 2010, I drove this car more than 13,000 miles on a road trip across the U.S. I also had the transmission professional rebuilt (I haz receipts!) and I recently replaced the timing belt, ignition system, water pump, and a slew of other parts. However, once I put the engine back in, I sort of lost interest, and the car has been sitting in my back yard for about 3 months, unloved, and unwanted. I have another project car taking up all of my free time. So I am offering this Mustang for sale. It is by and large rust free, including the undercarriage, and this is the first winter that this car has spent outside of a garage. I took pictures of the trouble spots, but by and large this Mustang would great a make jumping-off point for a V8 swap or a race car. You could sell the engine/transmission and get most of your money back. I replaced the original blue seats with some grey leather ones as the seat broke (it sits at an angle, very uncomfortable), but I still have the seats and can include them in the sale. The front bumper cover is also bent up from a mishap involving a sand dune in the Wyoming desert, but it never really bothered me. The hood is not original to the car; I am keeping the original one as a momento (I painted it with chalkboard paint) so the hood is a bit rough; but other than that, everything else on the car is pretty clean. Though the title says otherwise, this Mustang REALLY DOES have just 92,916 miles on it. I made the mistake myself when titling the car in my name (was my first solo car purchase). BONUS ALERT!!! I also have a '92 Mustang GT, with title, that I can include in the sale for a few extra bucks. No engine or transmission, and the driver's side floor is completely rotted through as you can see in the pics, but everything else is there (that's where the hood came from). Winning bidder gets first dibs, otherwise that'll be on eBay next.
