1977 FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser. This really is a beautiful example of the classic FJ40 Land Cruiser. It is stunning. Turn the key and you will be taken back to 1977 (feeling young yet?). This shiny new toy will turn heads everywhere you go. I literally have people running out into the street to ask me about it. What is it? What's that color? Where did you get it? How does it run? Is it for sale? And my all time favorite, "Where did you get that cool "Jeep" man?"!! Anyway, here are a few of the items I've replaced during the restoration: New (Less than 20 miles) 33x10.50 r15 BFG Mud Terrain Tires.Sand blasted and powder coated original FJ40 rims.New hub caps - front, rear and spare.SOR headliner.New front signals.New rear lenses.New emblems - front grill, side bibs, rear quarters.New quarter panels from Cool Cruisers.New front fenders from Cool Cruisers.New weather stripping from SOR - front doors and rear ambulance doors.New front seat upholstery.New windshield rest pads.New mirror arms & heads from Cool Cruisers.New stainless steel bolts/washers/nuts throughout the FJ.New upper window felt (front doors).New stainless front door pins and bushings.New transmission & transfer case boots.Old Man Emu spring set with front Rancho shocks.Rhino lined interior from the rear channel to the front firewall seam. (Painted Olive Brown) A little about my history:I have restored quite a few of these FJ40's over the last 20 years. This has always been a hobby of mine but I'm not a professional. So although the cruiser looks flawless - it isn't. But it's close to it! I produce a great product but you won't be paying the $30k-$50k charged by some of the big company restorations. You're getting a great FJ40 for the price. A little about my restoration process:I take pride in my restorations and try to not leave anything out. On this restoration the big items to notice are the replacement of the rear quarter panels, the front fenders and the Old Man Emu springs. The rest of the FJ was completely disassembled and sent to the sand blaster. All individual parts were then etched, primed, & sealed. The final paint job was done professionally two weeks ago in original Toyota FJ40 Olive Brown 653. All doors and hard top were completely taken apart prior to paint. All windows were removed prior to paint. As you can see, this is a quality job and done to the best of my ability. Please feel free to arrange a test drive PRIOR to the end of the auction. Conditions of Sale: I've developed an excellent method for this type of transaction and will not deviate from the following process. Here's the process - - I require $1000 down within 24 hours of the end of the auction. You can overnight me a cashiers check or do a wire transfer. No paypal (they only protect the buyer).After receiving the deposit, I will overnight the title & bill of sale to you. That way you have something in hand and get something for your money.After you receive the title & bill of sale you have 5 days to pay the balance due. In person cash, wire transfer, cashiers check. It's up to you. Questions on the engine: It runs amazing! I was driving 70 mph on the freeway this week. Plenty of power and serviced by a local mechanic for the past 15 years. There is plenty of clutch and the braking power is awesome. All gauges work and the heater blows hot. Tranny shifts without issues and the transfer case goes easily in and out of all gears.
