Up for auction is my 1957 VW beetle project. Very solid dry western car. Only rust is as pictured in rear floor where battery was located. Great heater channels etc. Solid straight body, was turned BAJA but have most parts to put back, and was nut butched, just cut back slightly. It has a 67 era swing axle transaxle, and an early 70's 1600 dual port with 009 dist and alternator. Engine is partially dissasembled, but ran fine, but should have a kit put in before running again, as it has been setting a while. Original seats., all glass appears original and good except windshield. It comes with a dropped adjustable beam, original snowflake tailights and liscence light. W decklid is chooped up, but I have a 58 style to go with it along with hood. I also have donor front and rear clips and a full set of nice, early fenders with aftermarket louvered running boards. Good Missouir paperwork in my name, matches pan. Has been converted to 12 volt wiring at some point. Also included are some spare engine parts, and an extra transaxle also 67 era. And an extra pair of doors and home made tow bar, plus a few others I'm sure I forgot. This is a rare car, and would make a great resto-mod project. I can store free of charge for 30 days, then $5 per day after, unless other arrangements are made prior to auctions end. 10% within 48 hrs and the remainder due within 7 days. Car rolls and steers well, tires hold air but have dry rot, so if you'd have plans of towing, bring good tires. Would be best to trailer due to all the extra parts. (573)338-5356 with questions
