1971 Triumph Trophy

This is a 1971 Triumph TR6 Trophy motorcycle. It does not have matching numbers as the frame is a TR6C (Dec 1971) and the engine is a TR6R (April 1971) however as the VIN is a TR6C number then that is what WVDOV require it to be. However both models are basically the same, the only difference as far as I know is the placing of the exhaust pipes (mufflers). The gas tank is from a later T140 Bonneville and has been sealed internally - or so I am told by the previous owner - however the extereior could do with a new paint job sometime in the future. AKRONT aluminum rims are fitted front and rear and look good. New front and rear brake shoes and front wheel bearings were fitted two years ago. The electrics are rewired using spade terminals and has been converted to negative ground. A "MityMax" solid state voltage regulator/rectifier/capacitor has been fitted and works great. I am unable to give an exact mileage usage as the speedo/odo dial was changed by the previous owner. However I was informed that the original dial showed a mileage of approx 9000. I have since put on an additional 3000.
