Vehicle Detail
1971 Cougar, XR7 Convertible; straight, all original, pretty! WATCH MOVIES: http://youtu.be/7W6ebB1aG9g Only 70,300 original miles, Always kept in heated garage. • 351 ci V8 Cleveland• Power top with glass window, works GREAT-window is excellent condition!• 2-BBL original Carburetor• Automatic Transmission• Power Brakes/Front Disc• Leather InteriorAir Conditioning NEW SPOILER• NEW DUAL EXHAUST• AM/FM -- tape (also have an 8 track to throw in), & Clock.• Power Steering and handgrip horn• Sequential Turn Signals• Magnum 500 wheels It Runs Beautifully. Draws a lot of attention, wherever we go. Most people believe it reminds them of a Cutlass, Mustang, or Cuda from the back/side. No rips in the top. The body is super-solid. Only 1 small ding (Maybe 2-3" wide-which I took a pic of). I had ½ pint of the paint mixed this week. ALL THE CHROME IS EXCELLENT!! All glass is excellent. Everything works as it should, except the clock, (I haven't looked to see why yet). Runs smooth, fingertip steering. Everything is tight. Needs nothing! If I keep it, I would buy another parade boot-this one is the original and in good-fair condition. It wouldn't take much to be a perfect show car. If you are looking for a solid, original, 1970's convertible in great shape, you will not be disappointed. Look below at the rarity of this vehicle, there were only 1,717 made. As the 1971 commercial said "It's where wild meets elegance". ..haha, the original ad is on youtube. We are asking below "low retail" for NADA, this vehicle is definitely closer to "high retail" shape! On Jan-15-13 at 18:35:16 PST, seller added the following information: Thanks for the questions: The only reason one seat was up further than the other was because the seat belt was stuck in the passenger seat for a couple of days when we took the pics (it is now out and no problems). The tires have about 90% tread. We don't always do burn outs, (it was just for the movie). Yes, the turn signals work fine. Thanks for all the questions! HAPPY BIDDING!
