1968 Ford Mustang Fastback S Code 390 GT with Rare Bench Seat This is a very Solid and highly optioned mustang fastback. If you like Rare and Low production number mustangs this is the one. This car was equiped with GT equipment group,C6 auto,Sport deck rear seat,Power disc brakes,Power steering, A/C and tinted glass. What's appealing to me the most is the 63C Bench seat option which is one of 1079. Door tag, Buck tag and Dash tag are present and match. Vin is stamped in front body panels too. This car has the original paint and and will make an easy restoration project worth pumping the time and money into. This car should be worth $45k when completed. This car is very solid and has minor rust spots. The rails,frame,and cowl are in great shape. The passenger torque box is solid. The driver torque box need repair but is easily repairable. The rocker area and doors are solid. The driver front floor pan needs replacing and the inner fender under the battery tray needs repair. The front rail under the inner fender is solid. The front radiator support is very straight. The car is missing driver fender, headlight bucket,front valance,hood and hinges. Rear deck lid needs replacing as well as both rear quarter panels. The Bench seat is in good shape but will need the top corners repaired or complete recover. The rear seat and interior trim is missing. Glass is in good shape but small vent window glass is missing. I believe the drive train to be original but can't confirm for sure. 390 4v GT engine with correct heads, C6 trans with what looks to be 9" rear The casting in intake reads S C6AE9425G 6L23. 14 bolt pattern heads Read C7AE-A 14 E DIF FOMOCO on both heads Right side of block reads C6ME-A Left side reads 29 DIF E 1, Missing harmonic balancer and A/C Compressor. I haven't been able to turn the engine over with pulleys missing . Engine will need rebuilding. The fluid that ran out of the trans looked good. Driveshaft is missing. Exhaust manifolds are missing. I've tried to list everything I can think of at the moment. I encourage and welcome inspections in person. Please ask questions before you bid.
