1992 VOLVO 240 WAGON WITH A 5 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION ***NO RESERVE AUCTION*** WAGON APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN WELL KEPT AND VERY CLEAN FOR THE AGE AND MILEAGE. THE ENGINE RUNS EXCELLENT- I NEVER HEARD OF ONE OF THESE ENGINES GOING BAD. THEY KEEP ON GOING AND GOING. ENGINE SOUNDS LIKE NEW. NO TICKING, KNOCKING, SMOKE ETC... THE CLUTCH HAS A THROW OUT BEARING NOISE. I WAS TOLD IT IS PART OF A CLUTCH KIT SO BASICALLY IT NEEDS A CLUTCH KIT. IT IS DRIVEABLE BUT I WOULD NOT CHANCE IT PERSONALLY. THE BODY IS IN GOOD SHAPE FOR WHAT IT IS, SMALL SURFACE RUST SPOT ON THE BOTTOM OF THE TRUNK LID, OH YEAH THE SNOW PLOW IN THE BACKGROUND BURIED THE CAR IN SNOW. IN DOING SO IT BROKE THE FRONT GRILLE. NICE HUH? SURFACE RUST SPOT ABOVE RIGHT REAR WHEEL. WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT IT IS! THE INTERIOR IS VERY REASONABLE, THOUGH IT NEEDS TO BE CLEANED UP. THE POWER WINDOWS ALL WORK THE POWER LOCKS SEEM TO WORK OK STEREO IS NEWER, AND SEEMS TO WORK ALL INSTRUMENTATION SEEMS TO WORK THIS MODEL HAS ABS. - ANTI LOCK BRAKES GLASS LOOKS TO BE FREE FROM ALL CRACKS AND CHIPS OIL LOOKS GOOD, AT PROPER LEVEL COOLANT LOOKS GOOD. RADIATOR LOOKS NEWER BELTS, HOSES, AND VACUUM LINES APPEAR TO LOOK GOOD. ALTERATOR, BATTERY AND CHARGING SYSTEM ARE WORKING WELL NOTHING APPEARS TO BE LEAKING UNDERNEATH. MANY UNDERSIDE PICTURES TO ILLUSTRATE THE VERY RECENT ENTIRE EXHAUST SYSTEM TIRES LOOK VERY GOOD ALL AROUND. PARKING BRAKE DOES ITS JOB! BRAKES ARE GOOD, NO SQUEALING OR ROTORS SCORED... SHOCKS AND STRUTS SEEM TO BE GOOD HEAT WORKS WELL. THE ORIGINAL BOOK SET IN GLOVE BOX WITH A BUNCH OF RECORDS. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!. A friend bought this car for me, if i had the time and resources i would deal with it but at this time i have too much on my plate :( I would rather see the car go to someone that is looking for one of these cheap they can fix up and drive another 200,000 miles! These wagons are known to be very dependable and would make someone a great daily driver or would be a great find for a Volvo collector to add to their collection.
