Here is my 1963 220b Fintail or Finnie (Heckflosse) California Car for sale. MANY PHOTOS AVAILABLE (see below the description text). I will be updating this listing throughout the course of the auction listing period, so please check in often. Car is in good working order, it runs good, shifts well, drives and stops good.Missing the horns (stolen) but otherwise very much complete. It is almost completely rust-free, has some rust in one spot on the floor pan (most likely from water getting through a leaky door seal and sitting inside - see photos), and some surface rust inside the trunk (leaky trunk lid seal). This car is a straight 6 cylinder M180 powered car. This basic engine was used by Mercedes for nearly 25 years - a quarter of a century. They are known for their longevity, reliability and robust nature. Dual Solex carburated with a 4 speed manual on the column (tree). Absolutely driveable as is or restorable if you choose to clean it up and replace some parts or restore completely - your choice. This car is a solid start and is an excellent candidate for restoration.Engine runs but it does needs some work: Carburators cleaned, clutch adjusted and bleed, new mechanical fuel pump, old gas in gas tank, the usual when a car has been sitting. 4 speed transmission shifts fine, clutch works.Interior is pretty much complete except for horn pad, I will try to find a replacement.Upholstery needs to be repaired (tears) or redone.Carpets are there but need attention as well.I will try to get some work done on it in this following week.I described the car to the best of my ability.Please ask questions if unclear on anything - In most cases will respond quickly usually within 24 hours.
