Vehicle Detail
Hello all, I am listing this 1990 Olds Custom Cruiser with NO RESERVE. This desription is lengthy so please bear with me. First off, this was the last year for the Box body rear wheel drive Olds, also the last year for the Olds engine (switched to a chevy eng in 91)This was also a very low production year with under 4,000 of these cars made, I would imagine there can't be too many of these 90's left. I recently purchased the car for my son who will be 17 later this year, (my first car was a 59 Olds Fiesta Holiday 88 wagon)I thought it would be cool to give him an Olds wagon for his first car. 2 major problems I overlooked, car doesn't have an airbag which my wife sais is a must, secondly my son thinks the car is an Old Mans car ". I guess I should have asked him before I bought it.I Want you to know I am not a dealer or mechanic. About the car, the car has been garaged for the last few years. Car has only been titled with original owner, I have not titled car, I do have a clear title for it. I have a autocheck for it from a few years ago which is clean. Car has under 80,000 miles on it. I have original Build Sheet as well as org bill of sale (sold for 23,275.00) I also have all original manuals.Car has a fairly new battery , new belts, wiper blades and a couple of misc filters lights etc. Car starts right up on first turn, shifts well (I have only taken the CAR AROUND THE BLOCK) Car does not leak at all. Exterior is in very presentable condition with some minor flaws in a few areas, no real areas of rust which would need to be addressed from what I can see.Lower stainless steel moldings adorn the lower quarters. Car had dealer undercoating and glaze. Bumpers are in very nice shape however rear bumper would need new rubber if you wanted. Windshield has a small crack on low driver side corner below sight line which is only an asthetic issue. Hood has been repainted at some point, looks ok but you can tell color is slightly off if close up. I do not believe this car to have ever had any other body work(it is straight) doors hang and close properly. All windows work but some are slower than others. Interior is in very nice original condition with really very little signs of wear on seats, Rugs are in nice condition, headliner also presents well.Dash and instrument clusters are all in nice condition no cracking. Radio works and antenna motor engages however I believe original owner disconnected radio from antenna. So only static as of now. Original owner had a cb or ham radio of some sort. When disconnecting I believe a fuse or fuse relay might have been blown. When this happened I believe the fuse to the heater blower blew. If it is the actual heater blower they are about fifty bucks and easy to find online.Car has a few little interior handle covers missing and the latch on the 3rd row seat has some damage which doesnt affect much or even show when 3rd row is up.Car has automatic leveling suspension. Original 15' aluminum wheels in nice cond. Tires have tread but are probably over 5 years old.Brakes seem decent but I haven't looked at them. This car is not a show car or perfect . The car will probably need some basic maintenance and a good going over by some trained eyes. This car does drive, however the winning bidder might consider flatbedding the car if they live far away. This car has the makings of an everyday driver or easily a cruise night car with a little tlc. I welcome questions and am willing to show the car if interested. The car is currently in my dry garage and out of the elements. I have tried to describe this car to the best of my ability and as honestly as I could. I hope she finds a caring home ThanksOn Dec-28-12 at 16:40:36 PST, seller added the following information:Shipping responsibilty of buyer (i will help if I can) car to be picked up within 10 days of saleOn Dec-31-12 at 10:41:53 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that the car does not appear to have been smoked in. Ash tray looks like it was never used and car does not have cigarette smell. Thanks, sorry I forgot to mention in original description. DJ
