RELISTED Due to Bidder Error (practicing on new Christmas ipod while on ebay) 1955 Nash Metropolitan. Yellow and white two-door convertible. Project car, barn find. This car is in decent shape, odometer shows 25,627, but it could be 925,627, for all I know. Looks great in pictures, but has typical Metropolitan rust - back lower trunk corners, and above right tail light. Floors have been replaced. Lower driver door hinge is broken. Driver side door won't shut, binds up, needs new hinge on bottom. Side glass cracked on both doors. Regulators need work. Car starts, runs and shifts. Yard drivable only, needs new master cylinder and brakes gone through. Upholstery is older, with some small tears, still usable. Appears that grill bar and hood grill have been re-chromed. Encourage all questions and inspections. Strive to give accurate and complete descriptions of everything I sell. Have a heated garage with lots of light so you can inspect in comfort even in this Iowa winter. Re-do the brakes, fix the door hinge and you'll have a convertible rat rod beater for the summer. $3,995 BUY IT NOW, with a modest reserve. This car has a clean, clear and current title in my name. A few locals have stopped to view the car in person. Lots of head scratching and various opinions as to whether this is a factory built convertible. WIth data plate missing, there is no way I can guarantee that this is a factory built Nash Metro convertible. It appears to have the correct top. Top goes up and down. Latches operate. The Iowa title does say that it is a convertible. If anyone out there can inform me of any other ways to identify whether this is a factory built convertible, please send info.
