How many Rally Sport Z28 Camaros with air conditioning and Turbo 400 with the original matching numbers engine & transmission are left today?????????? 1973 was the only year Rally Sport Z28 Camaros were offered with factory air conditioning. Only Z28 optioned 1973 Camaros had the 350/245 hp engine which is designated by the "T" in the VIN number. The "CLK" code stamped on the block stands for 350/245 hp with automatic transmission. All automatic transmission 1973 Z28 Camaros came with the Turbo 400. This Z28 Camaro was disassembled and sat in a body shop for twenty plus years until 2011. At that time the car was removed from the shop still in pieces. The original numbers matching engine and transmission have recently been professionally rebuilt by a local shop that has been in business since the seventies. It has been assembled enough to take up a less storage space and move under it's own power. It runs and drives, but is not currently road worthy. Needs total restoration. Both full quarter panels and the urethane grille surround need replacement. The air conditioning still has pressure in the system and the compressor turns. Missing parts common to many second generation Camaros: cooling fan clutch, fan, battery tray, gas tank, front fender braces, rear bracket for AC compressor. Incorrect parts that I believe are Z28 specific: driveshaft, water pump pulley, crankshaft pulley, distributor. You are welcome to inspect the car in person if you are within driving distance.
