I recently picked up this 600 from an elderly gentleman who owned it since about 1965. It is a great candidate for restoration or as a driver. It had been stored for a while but I gassed it up and got it running with little trouble. Since I was intending to resell it, I did not license and insure it but I did drive it a few hundred yards and everything seems to be working. The paint appears to be original and is in remarkably good condition with the exception of the blue part of the front door. This was dented at some time, repaired and then brush painted. The front badge and the emblem on the rear appear to be homemade. Note the dent in the right front bumper and fender flare and a slight dent in the rear lid shown in the close-up photos. The only rust that I could find is a few pin holes near the bottom of the side door and a small area of the floor pan on the left side. I assume the mileage of 38857 showing on the odometer to be correct but have no way to verify it. It has four new looking Michelin radials and nice clear glass. The windshield has two wiper scratches that should polish out. I also have (NOT INCLUDED in this sale) boxes of used parts from another parted out 600 or two. The purchaser of the car will have first option to make an offer on this lot of parts which includes: a complete transmission, shifter box, crankshaft with rods, flywheel, clutches, cooling fan, cylinders, pistons, two dynastarts, suspension parts, speedometer, electrical parts, cables, brake shoes that appear to be new or relined, new wheel cylinder repair kits, used wheel cylinders, steering wheel and column, exhaust parts, 7 wheels with tires, bins of bolts, etc. Feel free to contact me with any questions at 717-475-2163 EST.
