Up for auction is a 1976 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. This car was a new car trade in at a local Toyota store.The car runs and drives out 100%. It appears to have been repainted over the last several years and the paint looks good, it has a few spots in the paint..its not a showcar, but an everyday driver or weekend car.We believe the car to have the original motor and transmission but make no guarantees.It also appears when the paint job was done, the rear bumper/spoiler was updated.The interior is in good shape, seats are above average with no rips/tears to speak of.The dash/cluster/console is also all in good shape.Tread on the tires is good(see pics).the t-tops are solid tops,it does not have a set of glass tops.The front bumper appears to have been pulled to close to maybe a parking lot pole,etc.(see pics).The emblems appear to be original, the corvette letters on the rear bumper cover are missing, these can be ordered online , I would also order the front flag/emblem as well as its aged. The exhaust sounds fine, the engine compartment appears to be clean, the car does not show any signs of leaks, but please remember the car is 37 years old and can always use some tlc.The car is a good investment, this car is probably at the bottom of its investment value, the market value will only go up.This car as i said is a perfect everday driver or a good candiate for a winter project .I think its the last year of the "stingray", maybe some early 77's might have had the stingray logo, im not positive.This car is located in Knoxville Tn..minutes from our local airport. The car does not run hot and engine sounds fine.I cant gurantee either way, lets figure the worst, not a problem to fix, but consider it. the passenger side floor , appears to have been previously patched, The headlight vaccums need some tlc, the headlights are slow coming up, the power steering has a small leak.overall the car looks good and runs out good, the car is 37 years old and can make someone a good car.im going to sell the car with no reserve and start the bid at $3000.thanks
