This Low mileage original 1970 MGB is the rare and sought after Split Bumper model which was just built for one year. I bought this car from a long time owner who had gone over the car from stem to stern to make sure it was very drivable and not the usual somewhat tired example. While he started with a low mileage sound car, he replaced or rebuilt much in the past few years. It received a full brake rebuild with all new master cylinders, brake cylinders, hoses, shoes, pads etc. Clutch hydraulics were replaced as well. Both the front and rear suspension was completely rebuilt with new shocks, springs, kingpins, bushings, bearings and seals. The carbs were rebuilt, Radiator and cooling system rebuilt, etc. The wheels were refinished and fitted with new tires and new chrome knock offs. Consequently, it runs and drives very well and feels very tight. No smoke, great oil pressure, perfect transmission and clutch and a solid tight suspension. The top was also replaced with a new Robbins black top and is still in like new shape. It has its original tonneau cover too and a rare factory luggage rack. It has been updated to the more traditional looking mgb grill from a 1973, but comes with the orignal 1970 style recessed black grill which is in great shape. Overall, this is a great MGB that is ready to use. While nowhere near perfect, it is cosmetically nice and mechanically well sorted. A great driver that is ready to use.
