1964 Chevrolet Impala SS 409 Two-Door Sport Coupe, matching numbers 409/340hp QG code engine with chrome rocker covers and chrome air cleaner, 4bbl carburetor, 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission with floor shifter, 3:36 Posi-Traction differential (code AM), finished in the original color of Goldwood Yellow (943) with what is believed to be the original Black interior (815), bucket seats with safety belts, center console, aftermarket AM/FM/Cassette stereo (dash was not cut), factory rear speaker, rear antenna, dual exhaust, power brakes, power steering, SS full wheel disks, two spoke wood steering wheel, only 8,684 Chevrolet cars built in 1964 came with the legendary 409cid V8 engine, odometer reading: 35,411 (actual miles not known), VIN: 41447R116930. This car runs and drives and is a fun and reliable car to drive and enjoy. There are blemishes, of course, some of which can be seen in the photos. There are bubbles in the paint, specifically in the right front fender. The floors appear solid and rust-free with the exception of superficial surface rust (see photos). This car will benefit from a general mechanical freshening, such as oil change, etc. as it has been sparingly used over the past 4 years. The components unique to an SS409, such as the return fuel line (disabled) and the ceramic resistor mounted to the firewall are in place.
