1962 BMW R-Series

R27 single. Older restoration was lovingly done, and the bike has been kept as a rider. Previous owner told me he thought the mileage to be correct for the bike. Looks great and runs great. Has just enough of a patina to show some age, but honestly looks more like a well kept ten year old bike than a 50 year old veteran. This is a matching numbers bike. This bike has the CLEANEST Wheels and Spokes you're likely to see, and nice tires also. It's a real treat to ride, and always attracts a lot of attention. All that being said, I should point out that it needs a bit of TLC to bring it up to show: Minor scuffs and chips to the paint, the chrome on the header pipe is dulled and the muffler has a bit of a blue ring from highway cruising. Some of the nuts and bolts could stand to be cleaned-up or replaced, and the rubber solo saddle has some age cracks (I just checked and found that I have a new reproduction rubber cover for the seat, which I will be happy to include). No tool kit or tire pump is included. Please look at the photos and ask any questions, and I'll try to answer. If you're looking for a good clean rider, you won't be disappointed in this one. This bike was mechanically restored back in the 90's and has had few miles since then. It is ready to go, and I have the clean Texas title in my name. Buyer should make arrangements for shipping if necessary (USHIP can be a pretty good source for shippers). I can deliver it a reasonable distance if I need to at a dollar a mile... THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD THE SPEEDO RESET TO REFLECT THE ORIGINAL MILEAGE WHEN THE RESTORATION WAS DONE.
