I am selling this truck for my father-in-law. You are looking at his 2001 Dodge Dakota Extended cab R/T Sport. The R/T model in this truck is pretty hard to find. This is a nice truck that runs really, really well. It is black with dark gray interior. It has 153,000 miles and has the 5.9L V8 with the automatic transmission. The interior is very nice. It is the gray cloth and is very clean. All the seats, door panels, dash, headliner, etc are really nice and way better than I would expect for an eleven year old truck. It has power windows, power locks, cruise, tilt, audio controls on the steering wheel, cold AC, very warm heat, universal garage door openers, and a nice aftermarket CD player. Everything on this truck works as in should. It does have the check engine light on, but it runs perfectly. It's been on for a long time so I would say it is a sensor, but I have not had it checked. The exterior of this truck is very sharp as well. It is blacked out as the R/T Sport should be. There is absolutely no rust on this vehicle that I can find. It has a spray-in bedliner. It is a solid truck. It does have the usual small scratches and door dings that you would expect from a used vehicle. It has a dent in the plastic lower valance on the front bumper that can be seen in the photos. It does have the cowl hood that really makes the looks of this truck. It has Goodyear tires all around. The rear tires are in good condition, but the front tires will need to be replaced in the near future. Overall the exterior of this truck is sharp for the year and miles. Now let's get to the best part of this truck. As I said this is the R/T, which means it is one bad machine. It comes with the one of the best Dodge engines of recent memory, the 5.9L V8. This one has had a few things done to the engine before my father-in-law got it. I am not certain as to everything that has been done, but you can see most of it in the pics. You will see the Holly and Air Raid parts, different headers, and the Magnaflow performance exhaust. It sounds awesome! All in all it makes for a very powerful truck. You can pat the gas at various points and burn the rear tires easily. The only issues that I could find is that you will hear some rear brake noise occaisionally and it could use an alignment. Now for all the transaction details. This truck is being sold "AS IS/WHERE IS". There are no warranties expressed or implied. I have did my best to describe every aspect of this truck, but I am human so I could have missed something. I welcome pre-sale inspections. The buyer is responsible for pick up and for any and all taxes, fees, etc that are required in their home state.
