Vehicle Detail
This is a 2002 Audi Allroad 6-sp manual with 162,000 miles on it. Mileage is increasing slowly, because I drive it a few days a week. More pics here: http://s915.photobucket.com/albums/ac354/oof_da/2002%20Audi/ I bought it from the 2nd owner who bought it Certified Pre-Owned from Audi with 30k miles on it, I have his stack of service records from 30K to 153K miles, when I bought it. I’ve done nothing except wash/wax it, change oil and tranny fluid (both synthetic), and replaced left front CV axle. Transmission operates fine and is whisper-quiet, but is beginning to feel “notchy” shifting into 1st, 2nd, and 3rd on the UPSHIFT if you try to shift too fast, a sign that the synchros are wearing. 4th, 5th, and 6th are no problem, downshifting in all gears is no problem. I’ve learned to rev a little farther and hesitate a fraction of a second and "feel" it into 2nd and 3rd. After a while you get used to it. First is too low for anything but a dead-stop, or creeping around off-road, which I’ve done several times! Level 4 gives suprising ground clearance. The transmission does NOT need an immediate rebuild; there's no oil dripping or vibration or noise of any kind, I drive it just fine, it just doesn't like "jamming" 1st thru 3rd. Air suspension works perfectly and never sags.Engine starts and runs perfectly, no weird dash lights. This is my first 2.7T, feels weird to be able to zoom around so fast at highway speeds in a wagon! Previous owner did all major maintenance, including timing belt, w-pump, cam seals, airbags and pump, new clutch at like 140k, new cats about that same time, new rotors, new front end components. I have stacks of reciepts. He spent THOUSANDS just before I bought it. Turbos are original, and there is no evidence they are on their way out. I pulled the lower intercooler hose, and there was almost zero oil residue, a sign that the turbo bearings/seals are still good. Car drives and runs great, pixels in dash are still good. The triangular yellow warning in the dash pic is low washer fluid. It’s in great shape, but not perfect. A little salt residue on the driver’s carpet where it drips off your left foot. Center cupholder won’t stay down (these are replaceable). Cabin light won’t come on when you open the driver’s door, but it comes on with the switch or any other door. Small dent on the right side down by the aluminum trim, small scratch by the right rear door handle, small rip in the rubber molding in the driver’s door jamb, all shown in pics. Please ask questions. On Nov-24-12 at 17:54:18 PST, seller added the following information: Update: The bike carrier and crossbars are NOT included in the auction. I've adjusted the reserve down $200 for this. Also, I had the cooling system flushed when I got it @ 153k miles, so it has new G2 coolant in it, SUPPOSEDLY good for life. On Nov-25-12 at 16:57:40 PST, seller added the following information: Regarding payment: I am not a hard-ass, and I'm not out to screw anybody. So if you plan on picking the car up in person, PLEASE do not send more than the min deposit via PayPal. If you see the car and don't want it, I will keep the deposit to cover my ebay fees, and you can walk (or fly) away, no hard feelings. If you have the car shipped, then that's another matter.
