Vehicle Detail
1972 T-top...Fully complete minus a motor (small block...although it has the big block radiator)...M-21 four speed, fuel cell, electric fuel pump...Traction bar/snubber (yes, they make one for an IRS)...MSD 6AL Ignition box...Spare front shocks and a new front sway bar...Was an A/C car (mostly removed but think I still have the pieces)... Paint has some scars from doing "vette ground loop" through a fence...Mostly left rear quarter...But no serious damage and left rear bumper is fine...Interior was refurbished by previous owner and is in great shape... Car spent its previous incarnation as a "Rat Rod" sporting a serious small block 400 and scaring 5.0's and most anything else that came up...Have three major toy's / projects...Two have to go...Will keep the survivor... On Dec-03-12 at 12:46:52 PST, seller added the following information: ATTENTION...OK guy's, I totally blew the odometer reading (which I tried to recall from memory...Haven't sat in car for about 2 1/2 years)...Anyway it reads a little over 2k which probably means it's been around once...If that kills you interest, or the gentleman with the bid wants to retract, I fully understand...Software won't let me adjust that on the listing so take note... Secondly, several of you have contacted me about the chassis condition...To my eye it's pretty good, but I'm adding some pics shot today...If you need a a close-up of something, let me know... On Dec-06-12 at 08:19:17 PST, seller added the following information: ANOTHER HEADS UP: Several have asked about the hood to windshield fit...I posted a pic (last one allowed)...Also located the two small metal cowlings that fill in the rear corners to even the backside of the "hood line"... BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY...Messing around with it up on stands I noticed a real "resistance" to the roll at one point...(Was trying to count the rotations to verify the 4: 11 gears)...Have tinkered with it (with the spring straightened as much as possible) and there is a definite bind and "hop" that appears to be in the left trailing arm...There's no grinding or noise just a point where you really have to force things and the wheel assembly "hops"...We towed the car with the motor out and the rear "arched" up to get it to storage...I'm wondering if we shouldn't have... If this is just a consequence of the "arched" condition, no harm done...But if we may have hurt something, I wanted you to be aware of it...If any of you are "Vette" guys (I'm not really)...I'd appreciate any thoughts on the matter...
