I obtained this car a few years ago as a stalled project. As you can see from the one photo the car was completely disassembled to the tub, the car was mounted on a rotisserie and all paint was stripped to bare steel. All rust issues were addressed with welded panels. During the reconstruction mild modifications were performed to produce a smoother, cleaner overall appearance. Fender beading was removed and steel rod was welded in and machined smooth, headlight buckets were internally mounted and the front turn signals were "frenched" to replicate the headlight design. The side marker lights were shaved. At the rear you will notice a similar treatment was incorporated with the redesigned tail lights, the area under the rear bumpers was fabricated to match the upper rear body contour. The bumpers were reduced in size and the vertical bumper segments eliminated. The end result highlights the sleek E-Type body without the distractions. The body underside is painted Old English White with single stage urethane, the top is base/clear urethane. It has 4 coats of clear which I wet-sanded and buffed myself, there's plenty of material for further polishing, if you're inclined but as you can see it's got a nice shine. Engine: 4.2 liter, 9:1 comp. While out of the car it received new front and rear main seals, engine internals were inspected, new pan gaskets, new spin-on oil filter housing, new temp and pressure sensors, new water pump, new ignition components, headers(titanium wrapped), low restriction mufflers, Strombergs replaced with 3, 45mm. dual throat side drafts OER carbs(these are improved over the similar Webers) with externally adjustable accelerator pumps and float levels, they use the same internal metering components as the Webers. Included are velocity stacks with screens and air filters. Cooling: New Ron Davis aluminum radiator & high flow Cool-Cat fans keep it on temp regardless of operating conditions. Trans: upshifts & downshifts smoothly new Clutch/PP/TO bearing, rebuilt master cyl. new slave cyl. Brakes: Rebuilt firewall components, rebuilt calipers(new pistons), new hoses, new rear rotors. New tires and tubes. New knock-off spinners. chrome wheels in nice shape. Interior: after-market rugs, new heavy vinyl maroon panels and seats, All gauges function properly(including the clock) Control switches replaced with toggles. New steering wheel, new heavy canvas top(see photos), new dash pad. Included is a new convertable to cover(never installed) Items that could be addressed(or not) the windshield has been scratched(under the Jag decal on the topcenter) Somewhere in it's past a "not-too-bright" owner tried to glue a rear view mirror. It now has a new correct mirror. No radio, the chrome strip around the back of the top is dented, the horn components are MIA, The recently rechromed bumpers are showing some discoloration. Extras: Complete stock intake system, 2 extra sets of valve covers(one earlier smooth style one ribbed) 1 1/2 sets of exhaust maniflods, stock radiator All components removed during re-build. On Dec-03-12 at 06:46:21 PST, seller added the following information: I've received several offers for the spare parts but they will go to the new owner. Also the original jack & knock-off hammer are included and a new(never installed) convertable top cover. I also have the original owners manual and plastic cover(somewhat water damaged) and the original tax receipt when the car was first purchased. Also, partial receipts for around $8K(I'm afraid to add them up) and a professional appraisal for $32.5K that was done before the re-hab.
