1948 Ford F1 Short Bed Pickup Truck. This is an original 1948 Ford F1. It has the original V8 engine and the original four speed transmission. The truck runs good and shifts as it should. It has just had an oil and filter change, new spark plugs, and a new fuel pump. I have the "Original Utah Title" in my name. The truck is very original, but shows the typical signs of wear for a 65 year old truck. It still has the original headliner and seat covers. The interior is tattered, but is useable. The dash and gauges are in good condition. The body is straight, but there are some rust issues in the fenders. Please look closely at the photos. I want the new owner to know exactly what they are bidding on. The rims and tires are good and the original spare tire is still attached under the bed. The door open and close properly and the windows roll up and down as they should. I want the new owner to know, in detail the problem areas of the truck. With this in mind, I will list the problems that will need to be addressed. 1. The brakes need to be bled, adjusted and inspected. I'm currently moving the truck around and stopping it with the original emergency brake. 2. The original gas tank needs to be cleaned. I'm currently running the truck off of a small gas bottle. When getting the truck started, I sucked the old/bad gas into the fuel pump which required replacing the fuel pump. 3. There are rust issues in the areas where the fender braces attach to the fenders and running boards. There is a lot of good metal in the fenders and it should be an easy repair. The cab corners are good and the cab floor is good. 4. The bed has a piece of plywood over the original bed boards. The bed metal is good, but the tailgate is dented and repaired with a strip of steel. The rear window is crack as well as the driver's side window. The windshield, passenger's side window and both windwings are in good condition. This is a very original 1948 F1 and is in running condition.
