Vehicle Detail

This is a 6.3 which needs considerably more love than I am willing or able to give it right now, I'm sorry to say. I'd like it to find a good home. I bought it a few years ago and stored it under a tent on a cinderblock platform, then heavy snowfall collapsed the tent and dented the bodywork. Since then, it's been sitting outside under a cover (which has just given up its integrity) and has developed a number of other expensive issues. THE BAD NEWS: The above-mentioned dents and/or rust; most of these are cosmetic and can be fixed easily. The main exception is the inside of the left fender well (see picture). When last it ran, it always started immediately and the air suspension compressor worked great and got the car up to the correct height, although it slowly sank back down over the course of a couple of days. Since then, I'm not really sure, because it's developed a fuel leak somewhere in the lines, and running it long enough to raise it is dangerous. Because the car was one of the first 3500 built, the back brakes have vented rotors and wide calipers which are impossible to find; they were taken apart with the intention of retrofitting the newer, not vented rotors, but this work was never completed. In addition (and probably most expensive to fix), the left rear jacking point is very rusty, and needs pretty immediate attention. THE GOOD NEWS: There are two new rotors in the car, and assorted other parts. The instrument cluster has been professionally rebuilt and the speedometer repaired. I have a near-pristine ivory-colored steering wheel for it. I have two nearly rust-free rockers for it that could (with the proper lift and engineer) be used to replace the rusted ones. I have a relatively rust-free inner and outer fender for it that could be used to repair the rusted one. THE UPSHOT: The car needs to be towed, but even at rockbottom price (I just want to make more than I'd get for donating it), you get a good 6.3 engine surrounded by a not-so-good body with a decent interior, etc. Elsewhere on eBay the engines alone are going for over a thousand dollars. Thanks for looking.
