Rare cat. everything I write here can be verified. it is 1 of 1, 105,000 original miles, car was built in San Jose, delivered three miles to Fremont Mercury, then drove six miles to Castro valley, where it never left. car is all original so numbers all match. have all receipts since car was purchased. I am second owner and driver. has an assembly line story that also can be proven. the options are listed in the Marti report.the paint is going to need some rework. all new interior. door and quarter interior panels are in pretty good condition. new AM/FM w/ I phone/I-pod hook up.I had the engine and transmission removed and given a deluxe rebuild. engine also balanced. new headman headers and dual flows. you can see in the options that a super 302 was ordered(four barrel carb and dual exhausts) new A/C (just needs to be charged up) went through the rear end. all new braking system except for the brake lines.has original license plate frames and car and driver decal in right rear window. this is a zero rust car. the top had six coats of paint on top before replacing vinyl. there is still a list of small things to be done. it is currently being held in a pawn shop, with three thousand dollars owed. if need be, car will be picked up in Sacramento from shop.On Nov-21-12 at 17:53:37 PST, seller added the following information: because of the cost of a vehicle like this one, and having some things that need fixing, I am no longer answering any more questions by mail. if you have the money, and am serious about possibly buying this car, it would be best to call me so we can talk. the reserve is set at $14,000, but I might be willing to go lower. 925 418-4600 this car is being sold as is. never been wrecked, and is the best all original 1968 car I have ever come across. it has a story worth owning.
