Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is 2001 Yukon Denali in great condition. Take a good look at the pictures and imperfections as they are without playing games. These pictures were taken without washing or waxing the car and using gallons of armor-all to hide imperfections. Once cleaned up it will look even better. This car is in good condition inside and out with some dings and normal wear and tear for a car this age and mileage. Mechanically, this car is in superior shape as it has been driven and cared for by a ASE certified Master Automobile Technician. Religious oil changes at every 2k miles and frequent transmission service (every 20k) are some of the routine items this car has had maintained. The oils look as new coming out as they did when put into the engine/transmission. To prevent a breakdown on the road, and keep this car riding like new, this car had many items replaced at 100k miles even though they were not broken including a new fuel pump, front differential, cam and crank sensors, front hub bearings, front and rear shocks (expensive ride control shocks), ride control air pump, power steering pump, water pump, coolant hoses, coolant thermostat, complete tune up, and radiator. The entire braking system was overhauled last year and upgraded to DOT4 for better reliability. The only flaw with this truck is that the title (clean transferable title) indicates that the mileage is not actual. When this car was purchased used, I had it NYS inspected before registering it. The vehicle had a few more miles on the odometer than the paperwork and this caused an automatic notation on the title by NYS DMV. Letters and complaints to the DMV went unanswered (I have copies) and unfortunately I decided to just live with it than deal with the bureaucracy. This car rides smooth, drives straight; brakes straight and stops on a dime. The extra agressive tires are in great shape and emit little road noise for their aggressive pattern. This has been a faithful machine but I have finally decided to move on to the new body style. Low reserve auction and I may even lower the reserve further. This is a great looking car and perfect for someone that needs towing capacity, AWD and awesome reliability in an older car. I can arrange to show the vehicle or host an inspection if desired. This is the third time I am selling a car on eBay and my customers for the last two were extremely pleased. I use this car every day so the mileage is approximate. On Nov-18-12 at 04:53:11 PST, seller added the following information: A few more things to mention: There are two small plastic covers over the power outlets at the back of the center console. One of them is broken off. It is easily replaced and runs about $40 at the dealer. Other maintenance that was done at around 100k includes rear differential service, transfer case drain and fill, and replacement of serpentine belt, tensioner and idler pulley. Almost all of the service was done using GM original parts except where my experience with aftermarket parts was a very good one (such as the pads and rotors).Everything on the truck works. This is an additional list of features that I can think of at the moment: Remote start (with keyless entry)2 original and 2 aftermarket remote start remotes4 wheel ABS/ 4 Wheel Disc BrakesOriginal Bose Stereo system6 Disc in-dash CD PlayerAftermarket IPOD/MP3 Audio Input JackRear Audio and AC/Heat ControlsWireless Headphones for the DVD PlayerBuilt In/Hard Wired and Mounted Radar DetectorElectric Brake Controller (for hauling a trailer or mobile home) On Nov-20-12 at 16:45:01 PST, seller added the following information: I have located a photocopy of the previous title and transfers, and bill of sale to show that the mileage was accurate. Also my letter to the DMV. You can also see evidence of this in the history report. I registered the car on 4/28/2005. On 5/03/2005 I had the inspection done with 71,019 miles on the dash. On 6/30/2005, when DMV issued the title, they branded it "not actual" because the paperwork says 70,820 and a higher mileage was already recorded in their wonderful system. Incomprehensible that they do not take this into account. Now that the car is over 10 years old, a new NY title will say "exempt" so this shouldn't hurt the next owner's resale value. Not sure about other states.
