I am listing this Sand Rail for a good friend of mine. He has had it in his collection for over 20 years. I have a clear FLORIDA title in hand that was last issued in 1989! It is titled as 1968 Volkswagen 2dr. I am told it was built by a famous sand rail custom builder call "SHAKEY" and Street & Sand Toys in Fort Lauderdale/ South Florida have serviced and worked on it in the past. It is by far the nicest sandrail I have seen, with smooth welds, shortened wheel base, wheelie bars, era correct rims and tires. It's fast, loud, and turns heads! A blast to cruise. She has not been driven much in the last 20 years but she fires right up and has plenty of power. Good brakes and exceptionally soft steering. The motor supposedly has alot of performance upgrades so I hope the pictures show what you VW guys need to know. 1600cc with dual carbs ect. I should ad that its believed it was built in the late 70s maybe early 80s and is in beautiful shape. The tires are NOSTALGIC Super Charger Kelly in the front and MASSIVE N50-15 Super GT Sport in the rear. Only known issue is a small oil leak not sure if its a valve cover.
