Vehicle Detail

Great project car. Nearly rust free 71 Road Runner. Oct. 16th 1970 build date, in EV2 Hemi Orange with black buckets. This is a find. It has been in a heated garage since 2004, and raced prior to that. The body is excellent, except for a patch that was done before the re-pop panels were available. Drivers rear 1/4 from the front of the 1/4 to the rocker, a little patch was put in. No visible rust anywhere else. Front fenders, doors, floors, A and B pillars are excellent. Decklid is very nice. VERY minor, just the very beginning of issue at the right side only of the lip. The car has a thick black primer paint job over the original orange. The orange is visible everywhere. Original doors, decklid, and fenders. The mini tubbs were done in steel, and perfectly done. The decklid hinges were perfectly welded onto the tubbs. Alignment is perfect. The ladderbars were done perfectly. The car also has been frame-tied. Excellent work. A line-loc system is plumbed and functional off of the shifter. Two patches of floor needed to be removed and rewelded for the ladder bars.Perfect work. Front and rear lower valances are beat up, but workable. New ones are on ebay now. It is exactly what I have been looking for for along time, but I found a something else I could not pass up. The engine compartment is beautiful. A pan was screwed to cover the heaterbox holes. A stainless fuel line has been run from the trunk. Grill is not mounted, but decent. Being an old racecar, some wiring is mising. Original steering column is present. Original dash is not. The body numbers match the fender tag, but no dash VIN. I called DATATAGS.com, and since I have clear title, the fender tag, and pencil rubbings of both vin numbers, plus a Police report stating vehicle is clear, he will make a Chrysler-approved and authorized replacement vin tag. Exact in everyway. Let me re-iterate again. The floors are perfect. The fenders are excellent. The only work needed, in my opinion, is in front of the drivers rear wheel opening. It is a perfect start. The rear wheel lips are rolled in to fit the slicks. No headliner or door panels, but I have some mediocre ones available. Included in sale is a dash and dashpad core, nice ralley dash, with small chip out of it, two race seats, and some front grill parts. I will be updating when I remember more info. There is an aftermarket shifter that is included. Perfect, including cable. The front swaybar is also still mounted. There is a very small crack in the upper windshield, that is hardly noticed. All other glass is perfect. The Dana 60 has Mark Williams axles and a spool, with 4.56 gears. The slicks are good rollers, but the front tires are very nice. The guy that raced it clearanced the front of the frame rails to fit a larger radiator, which I am including. No problem with the integrity, just looks cut up if the radiator is not in. Also, he used fenderwell headers, so there are relief cutouts where the headers would exit. Cleanly done. The hood is a heavy duty US Body Source hinged unit. Retails for $589. Very nice hood. Very Low reserve. I'll more than likely just sell it to the highest bidder. We'll see. New project needs the $$ Fender tag reads as follows. N85 R26 V21 V8X C55 G33 M41 L31 M21 N41 EV2 U AO1 A87 B11 C16 EV2 M6XV TX9 A16 032144 E65 D32 RM23N1G130956 On Nov-09-12 at 18:42:58 PST, seller added the following information: Thanks for the bid. Yes, it has the long wheel studs in the rear. Yes, I am sure it is a spool. As far as I know, the tail lights are in good condition, and probably the originals. No on the front fog lamps. No cracks in the hood. No battery tray. Shifter seems to be in perfect working condition. No rust under where the battery tray is. Yes, it's the correct and original 71 decklid, with the cut-outs for the rear wing. No on the original steering wheel, but it is nice. No horn. Thanks for the questions. Any more, please feel free to email.
