Vehicle Detail

The bad: The clear coat on the paint is severely faded. It would need a new clear coat respray. The dashboard has severe fading. The driver's seat is torn. There is a dent on the back hatch about the size of an orange and a dent on the front driver's side fender about the size of a baseball. It has a cracked glass all across the bottom of the windshield. It doesn't affect the viewing out of the vehicle, but I know some states may require that to be repaired for safety. The good: 1. This was an Arizona car before coming the Nebraska, hence NO RUST on the vehicle. Note the control arms. 2. This vehicle is in tip top mechanical condition. My husband owns his own mechanic shop. We have had the head machined and have put on a new exhaust valve in cylinder two and installed a new felpro headgasket with new head bolts. New valve cover gasket as well. There is perfect compression across the board on all three cylinders. There was NO overheating issue when we decided to do the head gasket, just slightly lower compression on cylinder 2. So we decided to make it in perfect shape! New oil filter, oil change, and new coolant.3. The exhaust was repaired, there are no more leaks and a new muffler was installed. 4. The headliner was redone and is brand new on the vehicle. 5. All tires have good tread. 6. The clutch is letting out about half way, it doesn't slip, doesn't lose friction, but it may need a clutch job in the next 20,000 miles would be my guess. We have owned several metros, and my husband has an identical metro to this one with a/c as a manual 3 cylinder. His has over 240K on the body, and we repaired all the rust on the rockers on that metro. We love our metros and they are great for commutes! Please ask any questions or if you need any additional pictures I am happy to email them to you. Thanks and happy bidding! We have listed the metro locally so this auction may end early and we reserve the right to sell it locally. Due to the nature of this item, all sales are final. Depending on your location, delivery may be available. Please contact us for details and costs if wanted. On Nov-09-12 at 08:21:26 PST, seller added the following information: 11/9/12 - We have decided to offer a new clutch plate with this vehicle because we have an extra one in the garage. We know this clutch has enough life for a while, but we had an extra one and decided to throw it in with the vehicle. Also note: The syncros on the transmission are GREAT! There are no issues with downshifting from second to first or any other gears. Please contact me if you have ANY questions, we are happy to answer. This is our first car we have sold on Ebay, so we want to make sure there are no surprises for anyone on the vehicle. Also to note, the VIN check states that there were 7 owners, that is not completely correct. We transferred the title from our personal name to our business name when we bought the vehicle (1 owner change) and the vehicle was changed from husband to wife (1 owner change) and the multiple states on the title the family drove it through college and graduate school. I hope that helps on the title information. Everything listed is to the best of our knowledge and what we were told by from the original owners when we bought this.
