1957 STUDEBAKER Transtar Deluxe I am the owner of a truck that originally came from Oregon where it had sat inside a dealership garage for nearly 20 years. The original owner owned a Studebaker Dealership there. The son sold it to a friend of mine and I in turn brought it to Tennessee. A change of events has meant parting with a very hard to come by "extremely good condition" Transtar. Earlier this year several appeared ranging in price from $18,000 to $35,000 and one sold in Florida for over $50,000 restored. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx The headliner is in above average condition, intact but bowing slightly. I have replacement headliner material if someone didn't want to take the time to straighten what is there. Starts easily! I have not driven it out of my yard and only moved it from spot to spot. Chrome, pot metal and stainless trim well above average. The drivers door window has a crack but is solid. Balance of glass is good. Body is straight and would require little work to make into a very nice 1/2 ton. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx The truck would make a great driver and head turner or you could restore to show. This is a solid truck. The truck bed is solid but discolored due to use of red carpeting glued to the sidewalls and floor. Underside has original or no undercoating.
