Vehicle Detail

2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Procharger Twin Intercooled and Supercharged!!! It's time to allow someone else the opportunity to purchase my favorite car that I have ever owned. I really hate the thought of letting it go, but in order to keep the peace in my house, it's best for everyone. You see... I was transferred to the Chicago area earlier this year from South Florida. In the warmth of the Fort Lauderdale area, I was fortunate enough to have a three car garage, which afforded ample parking space for my toys, and for my wife's vehicle. In the Chicago area, where the wind blows cold in the Winter, while the snow piles high, I was not quite as lucky. I now only have a two car garage, and my wife really wants to park her car inside the garage over the next few months, so she doesn't have to scoop snow off of it in the frigid Winter that is coming shortly. So... What's a guy to do? If I wish to continue sleeping in the warmth of my own bed, alongside my wife during the next few months, it's best that I let my beloved Z06 go to its next loving owner. And trust me, if you buy this car, you'll love it too. It has led a pampered life since being bought by it's first owner. It has always been a secondary vehicle, and never a primary, daily driver. I purchased the car in South Florida during the Summer of 2010, and it had only 25,000 miles on it, and it was already 8 years old. I have driven the car just over 2,000 miles in just over two years. You get the idea... It's just a toy that I like to play with when I feel the need for speed, and I have never been disappointed. It has never failed to deliver a smile to my face, or to the faces of those riding with me. It is a really fun car, with super-car power and acceleration. It is a vehicle that should be considered for purchase only by those who have the skill required to handle it. It is not for the faint of heart, or for those looking to learn how to drive a fast car. The car will spin the tires shifting into 4th gear at nearly 100 mph, with traction control engaged!!! I am not exaggerating at all with this claim, as you will see when you come to ride in it. From the factory, the 2002 Z06 came with 400 horsepower, and 405 lb/ft of torque. GM claimed zero to sixty times at less than 4 seconds, with a quarter mile time in the low to mid 12 second range at around 115 mph, and a top speed in excess of 170 mph. Imagine adding a twin-intercooled supercharger set-up, as well as headers with an "X" pipe, teamed with high-flow catalytic converters to the equation. The supercharger alone adds a 50% bolt-on horsepower increase according to the Procharger website. The headers and "X" pipe are claimed to add anywhere from 20 to 35 additional horsepower as well. With greater than 600 horsepower on tap under your right foot, imagine what those times and speeds will be. It truly possesses ZR1 power, at a mere fraction of the price! All this, and the vehicle looks basically bone-stock. With the exception of the audible super-charger whistle, there is little to announce that this car is evil, wicked, mean and nasty when compared to its normally aspirated peers. The craziest thing of all to me is the fact that even with all of this power, the vehicle can get highway mileage that is well into the mid 20's. Serious power and good fuel economy. It's really the best of both worlds! The individual that I bought the car from claimed that it produced 539 rwhp on a dyno test, not long before I bought it. While I don't have a dyno slip to substantiate the claim, the vehicle's performance will make a believer out of you. It has always been meticulously maintained, and has only had synthetic oil running through the arteries of the power plant, and it has been adult owned since being bought new. Here is a list of the upgrades on the car: Procharger P-1SC-1 Polished Supercharger Kit (MSRP $7,196 Uninstalled) See page 18 of the Procharger Applications Guide: http://www.procharger.com/pdf/appGuide.pdf Kooks Longtube Headers with "X" Pipe (MSRP $1,921 Uninstalled) Click Link for Kooks Information http://www.southerncarparts.com/kooks-corvette-emission-header-and-pipe-p-1777.html Baer Cross Drilled and Slotted Rotors with Hawk Brake Pads: (MSRP $900) See Link Below http://www.thelapd.com/profile.asp?ID=265&Name=C5/Z06+Baer+Enhanced+Front+and+Rear+CrossDrilled+and+Slotted+Rotors&CategoryID=63 HID Headlamps Short Throw Shifter Carpeted Partition to Enclose Trunk Space Carpeted Interior Trunk Lid with Corvette Logo This car is sure to continue providing smiles for many years to come. With just 27k miles, it's really just getting broken in. Everything is in really nice shape. The tires are good. The interior is very nice, and very clean, with no rips or tears. The dual zone, climate controlled air conditioning blows bone-chilling cold air. The Bose sound system with CD player works great. The power windows and power door locks work. The electric trunk release works too. The only item on the car that does not work is the heads up display, which has not worked since I purchased the vehicle. I have never found its absence to detract from the driving experience what so ever. However, in the interest of complete disclosure, I wanted to let prospective buyers know. The paint looks very nice, and the car always elicits comments from people wherever I take it. Should you have any questions about the condition of particular items, please don't hesitate to ask. If you are looking for super-car performance, at the cost of a new econobox, this is it! Don't miss your opportunity to have performance that rivals or betters that of a Ferrari, Lamborghini or a Porsche. All the while, you can laugh all the way to the bank, knowing that you paid pennies on the dollar for your supercar, and it'll spank all of your friends' rides. For less than the price of a Mustang GT, Cobra or Shelby, you can laugh at the Camaro Z28, Challenger SRT8 or Dodge Viper that dares to challenge you. The stealthy appearance of this particular car is half the fun.... Pushing the accelerator is the other half !!! I am sure that I have forgotten something in the posting. If I have not answered all of your questions, please feel free to ask. I will get back to you as quickly as I can. Good luck with your bidding!
