This listing is for my 1973 Datsun 240Z. This is a project car, it is not a running car. It is being sold as a project car or as a parts car. I bought this car about three years ago from a lady who had not driven it since 1987. The car was setting covered in dirt, in an old shed. It had not been moved for over twenty years. The lady I bought the car from told me she originally bought the car because her very first car was a new 1973 240Z and she always wanted another one. The lady told me her son started to work on the car but never finished it, so it simply sat untouched for all these years. The car had sat for so long a tree branch had actually grown up through the front grill. We had to cut the branch off to get the car out of the shed. In fact part of the branch is still in the grill! I bought the car with the intention of restoring it, but I have ran into health problems, so now I am unable to do the work. The car has a clear CA title, I have the pink slip. It has not been registered for over twenty years so there are no back fees. The car is pretty rough but I think it can be saved. There is rust on the rear hatch and the rear hatch opening, also on the drivers side roof just above the drip rail. The floors seem to be rust free under the carpet, the door sills, the door jams, the cowl, the firewall, the engine compartment, front frame rails and battery box all seem to be good. The rear floor, the rear area behind the seats all seem to be good, the doors are good and so from what I was able to see, I decided I should be able to make a car out of it. Since the car had air conditioning, which was pretty rare, and all the major parts were there, it was more attractive to me to restore rather than make a hot rod or custom car. The car has the original dealer installed "American Racing" aluminum wheels that came on it. They are in amazing condition. Other than being very dirty from all the years setting in the old shed on the dirt floor, they don't appear to have any damage at all! I think the wheels will detail out very well. All of the glass is there and intact, other than a small mark from a windshield wiper on the windshield, the glass all looks good. I got quite a few parts with the car when I bought it, they will all come with the car. I took pictures of them so you can see what is included. There are two cylinder heads, one appears to have been rebuilt, a set of valves and misc. valve train parts. There are two intake manifolds, one with carbs attached. Some of the parts included are two aluminum cam covers, four side marker lights, two door panels, two wiper arms, misc. bolts, nuts gears and timing chain. Two air cleaner assemblies, an exhaust manifold, a starter, the original jack and handle. The original air conditioning compressor, which is not seized and the brackets, the a/c pulleys and belt. there are Various heat shields the expansion tank and numerous other small parts. I need to sell this 240Z as soon as possible, so I am listing it as-is with NO RESERVE! I am starting the bidding very low, less than the value of the wheels alone!
