Up for sale is a 1965 Corvair convertible. The car was restored by a previous owner and includes paint, interior and engine rebuild in 2004. Powertrain - the engine is 6 cylinder 110 hp and had a $4,000 rebuild in 2004 (receipt included with the car). Still runs good, but could probably use a tune up to be perfect. Transmission is automatic and shifts good and works properly. The transmission has a leak, I believe from the pan gasket. Also sometimes you have to turn the key a couple of times to start, most likely from a bendix or ring gear problem that will need to be addressed at some point. Body - the paint is in good shape but not perfect. I would give it a 6-7 out of 10. There are a couple of bubbles and a few chips (see pics), but nothing major. The car does have some rust and will eventually need rust repair to floor pans and work done around rocker panels. Please see pictures of the rust around the doors and in the wheel well. All the chrome is in excellent condition, wheels and tires are in excellent condition, and glass is in good shape. The top is white and in very good condition. Top is manual. A piece of rubber is missing from the passenger side window, and the chrome trim on the passenger side front wheel well is dented. Thanks for looking!
