Vehicle Detail

Excellent winter project car, a rare 1971 Triumph Stag. Has the original V8 and automatic transmission but it doesn't run. Body is very nice, almost rust free, surface rust in a few spots where paint has faded away but none in the typical problem areas on these cars. Passenger side a dent/wrinkle in it but all other panels are very straight and rust free. Has folding top as well as an optional hard top (that came off another car, not original to this car but bought to add to it). Has 5 factory wire wheels, interior has newer carpet and 2 good original front seats. Back seat and side panels were missing when I bought it and I was only able to find tan colored items but they are in nice shape and could be dyed for color match. Car comes with extra tail lights, and other items including a brand new top in the box. This car will load easily on a trailer and is located within minutes of Interstate Highways in Cleveland area at my shop. I bought this car a couple of years ago to restore because the body was in such excellent shape but have lost interest in it. I had a local Triumph mechanic check the engine and transmission out and 3 cylinders in the motor have low compression so it will need rebuilt or swap out the motor/trans and put something else in it. This car has been off the road for over a decade so all areas will need to be looked at, brakes, suspension, etc. Buy it complete your self or use it as an excellent parts vehicle for your current rusty project. I will provide a Bill of Sale only on this car; I don't have a title so make sure your state will accept it before bidding on it. Ebay auction site forced me to choose an option that would seem to indicate a title is included but it is not. REPEAT, THERE IS NO TITLE FOR THIS CAR. Reserve is set for fair value of the car in restorable condition. Car is sold where is, as is. Deposit of $500 via PayPal due within 48 hours of auction end. Balance is due in cash or money order before it leaves my possession. I can help with loading and it can stay with me for an agreed upon amount of time while you are working on your transportation arrangements but not forever. Car is for sale locally so I reserve the right the end the auction early. 10-30 UPDATE: Many questions so will try to put update here on them. 1. Title : I have spoken to the 2 previous owners going back to mid 1980's and neither had a title so none available. I was going to change the engine, transmission, front end and rear end so was planning on applying for a builders title once car was done. 2. Interior, I wll post more pics but this Hurricane/Superstorm Sandy thing is hampering efforts as car is inside storage and lack of power and weather is making it difficult. The interior has all seats, door panels both front and rear, seat belts, etc. Only missing item of anything major is wood on center console but it's available from same companies that make the wood for the dash. 3. Trunk floors and surrounding area are in great shape. Spare tire well is very nice as well as the trunk lid. 4. All glass is in good shape except for the plastic window on the top, it needs to be replaced and the car comes with a brand new, in the box top. 5. Front bumper in pics I posted from 2 years ago is wrinkled but car is not wrecked nor look like it every has been. I have replaced it with a straighter one and it will show in the new pics. On Nov-01-12 at 18:53:51 PDT, seller added the following information: Update 11/1 Finally got a break in the rainy weather here to take more pics and post them. Several questions about back seat replacement so 2 pictures show it. Again it's all there just doesn't match the black rest of interior. original seat belts are there just not showing. Questions about trunk condition so 3 pics on it. Again car is in storage building so not easy to get a but paint is still shiny burgundy in trunk compartment (wished the outside of the car looked as nice). Last picture shows the different bumper that is now on the car as opposed to the one that came with it. It's very straight and chrome is nice driver quality but not a show piece. Also forgot that I had purchased a good used set of trunk hinges for it that go with it as well as another driver side bumper part, the original one has a small dent that could be fixed or just bolt this one on. Had a couple of requests for the VIN information so putting it in here. LE 1332L BW. Paint code is 17, Trim code is 11 and build date is March 1971. Keep the questions coming and I'll do my best to get back to you.
