Vehicle Detail

Price The Kelly's Blue Book & CarFax value of this vehicle is $28,660. CLICK HERE TO SEE THE CARFAX REPORT (pdf file). Including the premium sound system, short-throw shifter, and all of the extras I'm adding, this car is worth around $33,150. I have the reserve price set at $25,500. The Buy it now price is $26,475. I'm also placing this car in other listings at the Buy It Now price. If it sells there first, I will remove this auction. Feel the wind in your hair, power in your hands First off, let me tell you this: I LOVE this car. I bought this (it's my first Corvette) with the money I had saved up after my first tour of duty in Iraq as a US Soldier. I've owned this rocking-awesome machine for over five and a half years, and have loved every minute of it. For two of  those years  I was out of the country and left it in storage with the battery disconnected - although at least once a month during that time my dear sweet mother would connect the battery and drive it around town for a bit to keep the engine in good working order. And show off to the neighbors, of course. She always called me up afterwards with a smile on her face and tell me how much she LOVED tearing through the twisty mountain roads in Utah behind her home. I've been considering selling this elegant car for a few months, but every time I walk towards it with the keys in my pocket I put the decision off for a few weeks at least. But in less than two months I've decided that I'm going to buy an RV and travel South America for a year. And selling my beloved 'Vette is the smart (but painful) option. So I'm looking for you, a good person who will take care of this monster and love it like I have. What's wrong with it Nothing that I know of. I've taken great care of this vehicle, and I feel that it shows. The paint job is beautiful, and it handles like a dream. For those who own or have owned a Corvette before, you know what I'm talking about. Even in crowded traffic (like Friday nights on the Las Vegas Strip), you can be wherever you want to be. If there's someone coming up behind in the lane you want to be in, it's simple to just give the engine a little juice, and you're ahead of them, cool as a cucumber. (A cucumber with an awesome car.) For the first year that I owned this car I averaged around 21-22 miles to the gallon, since I drove  conservatively, and it was mostly highway miles. However in the past few years I decided that the fun of acceleration was worth a few dollars, so now I get around 17-18. As I mentioned, I did not drive this vehicle for two of the years that I've owned it (Afghanistan and Colombia). Also, I used to live in Utah and did not drive it during the winter. The majority of the miles on this car are highway miles. I used it to drive on several cross-country trips of 2000-3000 miles. So the engine will be in better condition than a similar car that has a lot of city miles. NICKS AND SCRATCHES: There are some minor scratches, but nothing serious or too noticeable. There is a small chip on the lower driver's side of the front windshield - It's been sealed to prevent any further cracking. The driver's side rear wheel has some small scratches around the rim. The tires are still in good condition, and still have tread left for another year at least. The sound system will knock a smile onto your face I've spent over $4,000 on a new, powerful, and kickass custom sound system, which you can consider a free upgrade (I'm not including the price of the sound system in the sale price. Think of it as a fun freebie) There are two square 10" subwoofers (meaning that they push out almost as much sound as two 12" ones) and a they are encased in a custom fiberglass housing that is painted with the same paint as the exterior. It's shiny, and sounds AMAZING. If you want to show off, you can crank the volume up. BASS: There are two independent knobs that directly control the bass, so you can adjust it on the fly instead of going into the equalizer in the stereo unit. So you can turn the volume on to a comfortable listening level, then impress your friend in the passenger seat by cranking the bass all the way up. It won't be super loud on the ears, but they will FEEL it as the speakers behind you give both of you jaw-dropping sound. The Dash unit has bluetooth and a microphone (installed in the upper left corner of the windshield) so you can use your phone hands-free while driving. Also you can use the bluetooth connection to stream music through those kick-ass speakers. The dash unit can control the music from the built-in touchscreen. iPhone/iPod/iPad users: The ipod connects directly to the system with a connector I installed in the center console, and you can scroll through your music collection using the touchscreen in the dashboard without ever touching your phone. It's convenient and awesome. GPS NAVIGATION: The in-dash touchscreen can control the navigation system. No internet required, maps for United States are already loaded. Turn-by-turn directions. A look at the Custom Speaker Case: A lok at the inside audio head unit: Other cool stuff Clear roof: You can see the sky through the tinted roof, and in just a few seconds, the roof pops off and slides into a custom slot in the trunk. A look at the removal of the roof: http://youtu.be/bomngFoJlu0 3LT Package: This is the 3LT fancy-shmancy package, so it has all of the following bells and whistles: 1LT MSRP $44,490.00 Active Handling System: improves traction and enhances vehicle stability Air filtration system: includes pollen filter Brakes: four-wheel antilock disc Climate (temperature) controls: dual-zone, automatic for driver and right-front passenger Doors: hatch release, push-button open/power rear latching Engine: 6.0L LS2 V8 Floor mats: carpeted Fog lamps: halogen Headlamps: dual projector, xenon High Intensity Discharge (HID) low-beam and tungsten-halogen high-beam, include Automatic Exterior Lamp Control Keyless Access: includes Push-Button Start and two remote transmitters that enable automatic door unlock and open by touching a door switch Seat controls: driver, six-way power-adjustable Tires: front, P245/40ZR-18, Extended Mobility, Eagle F1 Tires: rear, P285/35ZR-19, Extended Mobility, Eagle F1 Wheels: 18- x 8.5-inch front and 19- x 10-inch rear, five-spoke, silver-painted, aluminum 2LT MSRP $45,985.00 Features shown below are addition to, or in place of 1LT features: Cargo area: cargo convenience net Cargo area: luggage shade Seat controls: front passenger, six-way power-adjustable Seats: front, bucket, Sport; include back-angle adjusters, adjustable lumbar support and side bolsters 3LT MSRP $49,285.00 Features shown below are addition to, or in place of 2LT features: Audio system: Bose premium seven-speaker system Head-Up Display: includes readouts for street mode, track mode with g-meter, vehicle speed, engine rpm and readings from key gauges including coolant temperature and oil pressure Memory Package: includes two-position presets for drivers such as six-way power driver seat, telescoping steering wheel and outside mirror positions Mirrors, outside: power, heated, include driver-side auto-dimming feature Mirror, inside rearview: manual day/night with eight-point compass Seats: driver and front passenger, heated Steering column: power, tilt/telescoping Universal Home Remote transmitter: three-channel programmable, integrated garage door opener I'd like to add that the Heads-Up Display is awesome, and you'll love it.
