Second owner cared for for 36 years! This is a well maintained car that would be a great driver or one that would lend itself as an excellent candidate for a full restoration or at least a high quality paint job. This paint has has not been rubbed out as yet but would shine up quite well if this were done. I personally have too many cars at present so it is being offered. The original owner had some polishing done to the intake manifolds, carburetors and even the valve cover appears to have been polished many years ago. The car runs and shifts and drives very well. All instruments (except the clock) are working as are all the lights The paint was done probably 20 plus years ago. The carpets are decent though if you were painting the car you may want to freshen them up. The seats have been nicely reupholstered recently. The body has no rust and shows good care, having no stress cracks that these cars often have (trunk floor, hood, left door at mirror etc.)especially when driven hard and or have high mileage. The fenders have no rust in the bottom area where dirt often collects and causes trouble. The dash does have some typical cracks but I personally prefer seeing what is there rather than the typical dash caps which are fine but often are not installed correctly. This owner bought an "Autopower" rollbar from "Rallye " (datsun roadster.com) Over 25 years ago as well as mafy service parts during his ownership. Dann has been a great source for parts for over 30 years. He also keeps record of the cars and has this one on file. The original owner is available for questions after purchase and some records are also included. Additionally the chassis and engine room has been professionally steam cleaned in preparation for any restoration work that may be done in the future. Original Black license plates are available. The softop frame is included but will need a new top (around $300 depending on type desired, installation can be done at any trim shop for approx $300).
