Vehicle Detail

This car was purchased new in 1976 by a lady who drove it till around 2001 the year she passed away and then her son kept it in the garage like she always did and drove it very little just enough to keep it in good shape.well fast foward to Dec 2010 i bought the car with only 70.000 miles on it and even thow it ran fine i changed all the fluids and gave it a complete tune up and converted it to electronic ignition and put 4 new tires on it and used it for my comute to work car getting an average of 25 miles per gallon and it ran great and i put 8.000 miles on it but a few months back the motor developed a slight shake and excessive blowby and so i have stoped driving it. it will still start up just fine and drive down the road but it seems to have a little less power than before and a friend told me that it is probaly a bad ring and i do not know how to make such a repair and i don't want to let it sit. but besides the problem with the motor every thing works except the rear defroster which gets power but must be the little lines that go across the window and the orignal am radio works but the dial dont move the thing across the numbers.all the lights and signals work and it drives straight and has good brakes and and has never ran hot and has great heat but didn't come with air and has power brakes but manual steering but thats not a problem on the little car with 13 inch tires. The plymouth arrow was a Mitsubishi-built product introduced in 1976 The engine was the standard 1600 cc with an optional 2000 cc overhead cam version; both were four-cylinder hemis. and the 1980 model year was the last year for the Plymouth Arrow and this car has the 1600 cc hemi and the 3 speed automatic works just like it should.these cars are very rare today especially one that is still orignal like this one because back in the day they made great race cars being a rear wheel drive and plenty of room under the hood for a V-8. the body is in great shape but does have a few quarter size surface rust spots which i have treated but did not try to hide and the lip of the hood which is double layer metal had a few large rust spots on the outer layer which i cut out and filled with body filler which was my first time doing such a repair and it shows and the under side seems to have been factory under coated and is in good shape.sorry this description is so long but im just trying to cover everything about the car but if you have any questions i will be happy to answer them here or give you my phone number so you can call me.i will start the bidding low with no reserve and see what it does, thanks Jamey On Oct-13-12 at 20:45:14 PDT, seller added the following information:Ok i knew i would forget something this car will be Sold with a bill of sale which is legal for a following information: On Oct-17-12 at 14:03:51 PDT, seller added the following information: On Oct-17-12 at 18:29:33 PDT, seller added the following information:I received a question regarding a title and just want to be clear as i can so please read my reply A title is not required for a 1976 year car in ga and they won't even let you apply for one.but you can legaly buy and sell any 1986 and older car in ga with a bill of sale and registration but every state has different laws so please check with your states DMV before making a bid on this car because i can not provide a title but i do have my last GA registration along with the original owners first registration dated 6/25/1976 and she was 66 years old when she bought this car new and she drove it for around 25 years taking it in the the dealer for regular service or any new sound she heard as she was picky when it came to her little arrow and thats why it's still looking good after almost 37 years.so like i said (BILL OF SALE)AND (REGISTRATION) ONLY NO TITLE.thanks for you question.JameyOn Oct-17-12 at 19:20:04 PDT, seller added the following information:I just wanted to add that the front turn signal/parking lights on the front are not add ons thats how it came from the factoryOn Oct-17-12 at 19:22:34 PDT, seller added the following information: On Oct-17-12 at 21:20:20 PDT, seller added the following following information:I made a video of the motor running to try to show the shaking of the engine but my video seems to have more shake than the engine but at the first of the video between 0:20 and 0:30 you can see the breather shaking and the shake is more noticeable when the car is in gear but it don't stall out it just has a shake kind of like when you pull off a plug wire but maybe not that bad.On Oct-18-12 at 21:02:39 PDT, seller added the following information:Ok i have a few users ask about ending the auction early with a cash offer for more than the current bid and there is no harm in asking and thanks for the offers but to be fair to the current bidders and to keep the fun in the auction this auction will run it's full course until the hammer comes down on the high bidder.i have been bidding on an item before and getting my hopes up and all of a sudden it shows the auction has ended and says the seller ended the auction early because the item is no longer for sale and i hate that and i will not do that to someone else.this car will sell to the high bidder.thanks JameyOn Oct-19-12 at 18:50:39 PDT, seller added the following information:I had a user ask about driving this car home and my advice was no because like i said in the ad the engine is emitting excess blowby which comes from the hose at the front of the engine and goes to the breather and as a result oil accumulates in the breather and could get past the filter and go down the carburator and cause a problem that would leave you stranded so i strongly advise that this car not be driven any long distance until this problem is addressed and repaired.thanks JameyOn Oct-20-12 at 14:13:03 PDT, seller added the following information:I had a question concerning rust in the rear quarters and Yes each side has some rust but it's not that bad.please keep in mind that this is a 37 year old import compact car from japan and will need a few touch ups but it was cared for all it's life and over all it is in outstanding condition. On Oct-20-12 at 18:33:34 PDT, seller added the following information:I will cancel any bid with 0 feedback.sorry it's nothing personal i just can't take the chance.you need to start small and build up your feedback before making a bid on a car as your feedback is like your credit score on ebay.On Oct-22-12 at 07:55:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Back when these cars were new you could buy a tent from the dealer.i wonder if there are any still out thereOn Oct-22-12 at 18:18:10 PDT, seller added the following information:I just wanted to add that the arrow magazine ad with the yellow arrow that i posted in the pictures is a 1977 model as my 1976 arrow The first year Arrow is easily identified from later years because its quarter-window louvers have two slats in the center, which were changed to three on all later years.
