Selling strong-running, but cosmetically-challenged 1988 Cadillac Allante. Car starts, runs, and drives very solidly. It has the typical dings and dents that any 25 year old car has, but is by no means a "rat." Needs a little TLC in some areas that are pretty typical of these Allantes....soft top pull down motor is defective, 1 of the amplified speakers is shot and drowns out the radio, but the radio does work. One very nice feature, though....the climate control/message center has been replaced and works GREAT!! This is the first Allante I've seen that has a working climate control, message center, and radio. Both power mirrors work, also, which is unusual. Driver's power window works, passenger's does not. Additionally, ALL of the lights work, and the tail light housings are NOT all melted and screwed up like most of these Allante's are. Headlights are in nice shape, as well. The car does have a minor electrical issue. Battery goes dead if it sits for more than a day or so. I've not had the time to check this out, but I'm assuming it is probably an alternator issue, or perhaps it has a stuck door jamb switch or courtesy light staying on. I am selling the car for a friend who is HIGHLY motivated to sell it, and I believe the asking price reflects his desire to do so. I'm confident that we could part the car out for more than twice what he is asking, but I really don't care to disassemble and part out a pretty decent automobile...seems a little wasteful, and way too time consuming. The car does come with the hardtop, which also needs some work...has some pretty serious scratches from a previous owner. I can provide pictures of the hardtop if any interested buyers so desire. I do not currently have the hardtop here with the car, but I have seen it and the owner assures me that it goes with the car.
