Up for sale is my 2000 Jetta GLS TDI. No Reserve! The good; This one’s loaded guys! · Black leather heated seats. · Sun Roof. · Power Windows, door locks and mirrors (all functioning). · 42 – 45 miles/gallon easy. (Better if you baby it) · The glove box, center council and headliner are fine (usual problem areas). · The window regulators have been replaced and work properly. The bad; Items needing attention; · The security system gets cranky sometimes (maybe once a week though I’ve not found a pattern yet) and does not allow you to start the car. Most times just turning the key off and then back on again clears the problem. Every once in a blue moon is requires more offs and ons. · I don’t recall when the timing belt was changed last. Assume it needs to be changed. · Cracked wind shield (photo). There is no obstruction of view so I’ve not gone through the trouble of replacing it. · Lower air dam is missing and front bumper clips broken at the corners (photo). · Two minor dents (photos). · ABS light on (photo) (The check engine light has been coming on intermittently lately too.) · Radio antenna needs to be replaced (photo). · Some chips in the paint have started rusting (photo). · The right side of the front cup holder is broken. · The sunroof drain must be clogged because the carpet gets wet if it rains heavily. · The AC has not worked for some time. The heat is fine. · The backlight on the lower portion of the center console goes out occasionally. · She’s getting a little grumpy starting in the morning when it’s cold. · Emergency brake needs adjusting. · The front struts are shot. You feel every crack in the road. I am the original owner of this car. I’ve put every mile on it (276XXX). This car takes me back and forth to work (50 miles) every day. I still really enjoy it but at this point, I’d rather upgrade than repair everything that currently needs fixing. As far as previous maintenance and repairs, I had every repair receipt from day one, but lost my files recently and they are now gone. I’ve done my best to be upfront about all of the issues that I’m aware of with this car. Obviously, this vehicle needs some attention. I believe I’ve set the minimum bid to a reasonable amount. Where it goes from there is up to you. Please do not bid if you are not prepared to perform the repairs that are needed. The car is being sold ‘As Is’. There is no warranty expressed or implied. If you’re looking for a car with no issues, this is not the one for you. However, if you are handy around the garage, you may want to give this car a look. So here's some of the last repairs made; Timing belt: last replaced @ 247492 on 6/18/09 Serpentine belt : last repaced @ 267647 on 4/13/11 Left Front Window regulator: last replaced @ 250638 on 915/09 Exhaust Catalyst ($700): last replaced @ 231150 on 1/2/08 Drive Axle: last replaced @ 231150 on 1/2/08 (same day as Cat replacement)
