I BOUGHT THIS 70 CORONET FROM THE ORGINAL OWNER WHO BOUGHT IT IN THE SUMMER OF 1969, SHE ORGINALLY GOT IT WITH THE 3 SPEED ON THE TREE BUT COULDNT MASTER HOW IT WORKS SO SHE HAS THE DEALER SHE BOUGHT THE CAR FROM PUT A HURST SHIFTER ON THE FLOOR.... ITS A COOL FUN CAR TO DRIVE IT HAS A 1 BARRELL SLANT SIX SO ITS NOT A SPEED DEMON GETS ABOUT 24 MILES PER GALLON. ITS GOT 4 BRAND NEW HANKOOK TIRES.. I CONVERTED THE ORGINAL SLANT SIX TO ELECTRONIC IGNITION TO MAKE IT MORE RELIABLE.. THE SON OF THE LADY WHO OWNED HAD SOME ENGINE WORK DONE NEW BEARINGS AND SEALS SOME HEAD WORK AND NEW WATER PUMP.. I HAVE PUT A NEW FUEL PUMP AND A NEW FUEL TANK AND SEALS AND SENDING UNIT..BUT I CAN STILL ONLY GET IT TO READ HALF A TANK WHEN ITS FULL.ALSO INSTALL AFTER MARKET TEMP GAUGE AND A MINI TACHOMETER AS THE ODOMETER AND SPEEDOMETER DONT WORK. AND TUNED HER UP NICE.. DID A 2 1/4 SINGLE EXHAUST WITH A MAGNAFLOW MUFFLER AND THEN SPLIT IT SO IT LOOKS LIKE DUALS COMEING OUT THE BACK... THE ORGINAL OWNER HAD BOTH FRONT AND REAR SEATS REDONE AND A NEW HEADLINER PUT IN SO OTHER THAN THE RUBBER MAT ON THE FLOOR IT LOOKS GOOD...I PUT A NEW STEREO AND SPEAKERS IN CAUSE I HAVE BEEN DRIVING HER BACK AND FORTH TO WORK ( 90MILES) ROUND TRIP AND NEED SOME TUNES TO LISTEN TO.. THE BODY IS STRAIGHT BUT THE REAR QUARTERS HAVE RUST AND THE TRUNK FLOOR IS RUSTED.. AND THE FLOOR BOARD IN FRONT OF THE REAR SEAT UNDER IS RUSTED.AND WILL NEED REPLACEING THE SUSPENSION AND ALL THE FRAME RAILS AND SUCH ARE GOOD.. ITS JUST SHEET METAL... IT ALSO HAS FOUR WHEEL MANUEL DRUM BRAKES AND STOPS THE WAY IT SHOULD AND MANUEL STEERING WHICH IS REMARKABLY EASY TO STEER..... I HAVE ALOT OF MOPAR PEOPLE LOOK AT THE CAR AS IT IS VERY UNUSUAL TO SEE ONE LIKE THIS MOST OF THE TIME YOU SEE THE 2 DOOR BIG AND SMALL BLOCK CARS... I HAVE BEEN DRIVING HER EVERY DAY FOR THE LAST FEW MONTHS BACK AND FORTH TO WORK AND SUCH HAS NO PROBLEMS TO SPEAK OF... BE A FUN PROJECT OR DAILY DRIVER WHILE YOU FIXER.
