Vehicle Detail

The following description for this truck is long and lengthy. If you are truly interested in the truck, though, it will give you a very accurate description and history of the truck. If you are interested in the truck please take the time to read the description completely as it will most likely cover any questions you may have. If not, feel free to contact me with any questions. Don't forget to view the You Tube link at the bottom of the description. Thank you for your interest. Matt 1993 Dodge Club-Cab, 1-ton 4x4, Dually, Cummins Diesel with a 5spd trans, 4:10 gears. Truck has a NV4500 trans NOT the weaker Getrag trans. The NV4500 trans was bought brand new (not a reman) and a conversion kit from Quad 4x4, in Roberts Montana. The NV4500 has performed excellent and I have not had one problem with it, trans oil has been changed every 40-50 thousand miles depending on driving conditions, with the specified 75W-90 Castrol Syntorq Synthetic oil The trans shifts smooth and crisp, NO scratching syncro's. The 5.9 Cummins engine is stone stock, never been turned up. It runs great and as smooth as any well maintained 5.9 Cummins out there. The only thing I have ever done to the engine besides oil changes and adjust the valves, was a new injection pump was put on the truck in August of 2006 when it had 301,778 miles on it and a new lift pump at the same time. The only add-ons are it has a K&N air filter and a straight pipe (no muffler) exhaust. I have always changed the oil & filter every 3-4 thousand miles depending on driving conditions, the truck does NOT use or burn any oil between changes. It does leak some oil though, it leaks between the timing cover housing and the engine block, it will leak about 1 to 1-1/2 quarts between oil changes. I have always changed the fuel filter every other oil change, with fleet-guard filters. NP205 gear driven T-case, rear output seal does seep little gear lube from time to time. Dana 70 Rear-end was rebuilt with brand NEW ring and pinion and bearings when the truck had 375,000 miles on it. T-case oil and differential oils always changed regularly as well. This is not a brand new truck so there are a few things wrong with it. The clutch slave cylinder also has a slow leak. I add DOT 3 Brake Fluid to the master reservoir once or twice a month depending how much I drive it. I just keep it topped off and have never had any problems with it. The A/C does not work anymore. It stopped blowing cold so I stopped using it, last time I put a new serpentine belt on the truck, I just ended up bypassing the compressor with a non-A/C belt, it is all the parts store had in stock, the compressor is NOT seized. The other thing that does not work are the clearance lights on the dually fenders and two of the clearance lights on the tailgate do not work. Everything else on the truck works. New parts in the last 6 months or less, and last 5,000 miles or less. Six matching tires less then 5k miles, 235/85/16 Firestone transforce AT's, the tires were over $1,300. Rebuilt steering coupler, new ties rods, drag link, new Red-Head steering box, if your not familiar with Red-Head, Google "Red-Head steering box" they are 10 times better then the crud you buy at Napa for steering boxes, been there, did that! The truck steers like new! Rebuilt front drive shaft with new U-joints and CV joint. New U-joints in both front axle shafts. New 1000 Amp battery. Brand new windshield! Interior of the truck is in good to excellent condition. It is a Super LE package truck, with the optional captains chairs with center console, electric windows, locks, power mirrors, cruise, air, tilt, sliding rear window, AM/FM stereo cassette, etc. There are no rips or tears, stains or cigarette burns in the seats, the headliner is NOT sagging. Carpet is clean no stains, still has the original stock floor mats. No cracks in any of the interior plastic, including the dash. Looking at the interior you would think the truck has less then half the miles it does. Has the Rare Mopar accessory tachometer. I also installed a Isspro pyrometer & boost gauge. The gauges were only put on to keep an eye on the engine while towing my gooseneck trailer occasionally. The Cummins is stone stock never been turned up! The exterior of the truck, overall is clean and straight, there are a few little dings and dents here and there. No large dents or creases or any major body damage. The truck has never been re-painted and is original paint. It does have faded paint, mostly on the hood and roof, it also has some very light surface rust on the roof. The rain gutter roof seem is solid, no rust. The only thing even close to a accident the truck has been in, is a deer decided to run into the right front corner of the truck, and broke the grill and buckled the fender. I put a replacement fender on the truck hence the red and silver right front fender (ads a little character) I saved the moldings and emblem from the original fender just never got around to putting them back on the truck they will be included with the truck. The deer also twisted the bumper some. I have owned the truck since the spring of 2000 when it had 55k miles on it. I am the 2nd owner, it's pretty hard to find a 6 year old truck these days that has not had 2 or 3 owners or more, let alone a 20 year truck that has only had 2 owners. The truck was originally in northern Illinois, but was never driven in the winter on salty roads. Shortly after I bought it I moved to Colorado and that is where most of the miles have been put on. So it is a clean truck without any rust out anywhere, the bottoms of the doors and rocker panels are rock solid!! The truck runs and drives, and shifts good, I would drive the truck anywhere. It still has a lot of life left in it, even with the miles. I have always kept up with the maintenance on the truck. This has been a GREAT truck for me, and will be for the next owner also! Dodge does not build trucks like this one anymore! Clean clear Colorado title in my name. $500 Non-Refundable deposit via PayPal due within 24 hours of close of auction. Balance due, cash in person, or cashier's check drawn on a US bank in 7 days. If paying the balance with a cashier's check it will have to clear my bank before I will sign over the title or the truck leaves my possession. Any exceptions will have to be agreed upon by both parties before the close of auction. If you want to see more pictures of the truck let me know what you want to see and your email address and I will email them to you. Here is a link to a walk around and start up video of the truck on YouTubeYouTube Video It has been driven around the block a few times, but she has not been passed around the block to everyone and their uncle to drive her. I have been the primary driver of the truck!
