Everything I post here can be proven. It's 1 of 1, automatic, power discs, ps, super 302, a/c and more options, assembly line story, 105,000 original miles, except for surface rust on shackles and rear end, this is a 0 rust free car. It was a july 3rd build and could be 1st 302. I bought it at an estate sale. They said I will be 2nd owner and driver.(he would not let any one drive it) it was built in milpitas, delivered to Fremont Mercury then driven eight miles to Castro valley,(fifteen mile area) where it never left.(has original black plates and frames) has the original sports car of the year car and driver decal the dealer put on. it is still legible. I had a local shop pull the engine and transmission, I took the engine to friend of 23 yrs. machine shop on main street, told him not to hone it, but shave 20 off and put in all new parts. kept it stock. took the transmission to a good shop and did the deluxe rebuild and torque converter. he added a little stronger stall. had the rear end gone through. everything on engine and under hood have been replaced. steers straight. I then installed expensive headman headers and dual flows. except for the lines, all new brake system. new tires, new interior including dash ( $429.00) the door and rear quarter interior panels are in pretty good condition I put a 4 row all aluminum radiator ( $435.00 ). new A/C, new base coat clear, still needs a little more sanding and polish. the trunk lid and hood may need to be redone. new am/fm I phone, I pod hook up. never been wrecked. doors close like new. this is the most original 68 cougar, except for tires, muffler, and brake boost when I bought it. have all receipts since car was bought. also have dealer sales magazine the man special ordered it from. original owners Manuel, and samples from under seat for assembly line story. there is a lot of little things to do. everything worked before I took it apart and I will try and fix as much as I can before end of auction,Like blinkers aren't working and odds and ends. this car is being sold as is. have all receipts, engine and transmission still under warranty.On Oct-06-12 at 08:15:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Everything I post here can be proven. I also will have the new A/C charged up. On Oct-11-12 at 09:21:08 PDT, seller added the following information: I am getting questions, and would like to disclose, there are a lot of small flaws in this car. when I purchased it, it needed total restoration. the paint job will need for you to evaluate. the value in my opinion is that there was only one built like this in 1968. I will write out the assembly line story for new owner and give evidence with car. it is all original. you are going to have to do work on it to be a # 3 plus. The running gear is like a new car. I forgot about rear bumper has slight bend in it.
