Vehicle Detail

I have a 1999 Ford Windstar for Sale.

I had this sold for $935 but the buyer never paid. So, I am tired of messing around and am lowering the price to move it. It has 130,900 miles on it. The engine and transmission run well. Tranny was professionally rebuilt in 2005 ($1400) and has about 33,000 miles on it. The tires are Goodyears 80,000 mile warranty with over 50,000 remaining. Rear brakes, drums, wheel cylinders and springs were done 20,000 miles ago.

The van does have a 2" Reese style hitch and wiring harness

I am a Christian and am upfront about everthing that I know about the vehicle.

It needs a new steering box. I know where there is one for $65 but you can find them as low as $35 if you shop around. It was rear ended a few years back but I have driven it a lot since then. It is just cosmetic. You can see in the pic the liftgate and passenger rear quarter where it was hit The liftgate still works. There is rust under the driver side sliding door. You can pull the rear seats out and use it for a work vehicle. It would also make a good winter or hunting/fishing vehicle. If someone doesn't want the whole vehicle, I would consider parting it out I have meticulous records of maintenance - oil changes every 3000 miles

Q: Do you have a clear title? Does options such as cruise and AC work properly? Could the van be driven home "as is"? Thanks, Jim A: Yes I have clear title. The A/C worked great the last time I used it (worked better than the Caravan I replaced it with - this Windstar also got much better mileage). I am not sure if the cruise works or not. See other question for drivability. Q: DOES THE STERING BOX WORK AT ALL, CAN IT BE DRIVEN TO HARRISON MI. A: When the steering box originally acted up, I took it to the repair shop. They tightened some bolts in the steering box but he said I needed a new box. They said I could drive it and they had no idea how long it would last. I think it lasted a few weeks. If you are mechanically inclined, you could probably tighten the bolts and drive it to harrison, mi. Something I noticed about the steering box/rack and pinion, it takes a toll on it and acts up when you hit a bunch of bumps or potholes so smoother roads would be best. I also noticed that when the box acted up it drove fine in reverse as the front wheels just followed. You can rent a dolly pretty inexpensively too as an option. I checked locally and they are only $40 per day. Let me know if you have further questions. It needs a new steering box/rack and pinion. These sell used for $35-$65. I know where there is one.
