Vehicle Detail

This car was restored from approximately 2003-2005 in Sun Valley, California. The engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, paint, upholstery, exhaust, rims, and chrome all had thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours poured into them. I bought the car in 2005 and had it shipped from southern California to the midwest. It has never seen snow, and has been stored in insulated garages every winter. The aftermarket dash speedometer/odometer has never worked, but I have put closer to 1000 than 2000 miles on the fresh, mild, balanced 350 engine (with mild 268 H Comp Cams cam, aluminum intake, Edelbrock carb, ceramic coated headers, & MSD ignition) over the last 7 years. The Turbo-Hydramatic 350 3-Speed Automatic transmission delivers seemless power (and rubber into 2nd when ya punch it) to the beautiful Boyd Coddington 17 inch rims and Continental tires, with a nice, throaty, authoritative growl out the Flowmaster dual exhaust. The new (2005) suspension with polygraphite bushings provides one of the smoothest, most solid riding cars I've ever driven (late model vehicles included). I can not stress that last point enough. It is truly an amazing ride for a 47 year old car. A nice, full set of stock wheels, tires, and Super Sport hubcaps are included in the auction. The car has only minor issues. The California gaskets & seals didn't like the Chicago winters in storage (and still don't), but I have replaced almost all of them and have the volume of oil/trans fluid leaked onto the floor in storage each winter to just a trickle. The paint job is truly beautiful, but there are a handful of spots with minor chipping, mostly from shipping, but a few from rocks or other car doors. There are also a few spots with hairline spider webbing in the paint. Were there when I got the car and haven't gotten any worse in 7 years. The car is low and the headers have mild rubbing damage, but not thru. As stated above, the speedometer/odometer on the aftermarket dash were never hooked up. All other gauges work great. There is also a small chip in the windshield on the passenger side that I wasn't told about when I bought the car, and don't want you to be as mad as I was about these last two items not mentioned to me, as I was. If this car is so awesome, why am I selling it? I bought it 7 years ago as a divorce present to myself. It did a good job of giving me something to do and keeping me out of trouble. I have since remarried and now have 3 young children. I just don't have the time or money to properly enjoy or maintain the car. It is time for someone else to enjoy it. The vehicle is being sold as is, with no returns. I will accept money order, cashiers check, PayPal, or cash in person as payment. The buyer is responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping.
