Vehicle Detail

I have a 1970 VW Baja bug for sale, this is a project car that is close to completion.... The body and pan were separated so a new pan could be welded in and while it was off new brake lines were ran, new tie rods were installed followed by a coat of por 15 for protection. with a new pan gasket installed the body was reinstalled. The baja has a brand new narrow eye baja kit and tube style bumpers installed. new rubber around the windows and doors, pop out quarter windows, glass sunroof...the paint has some runs and sags but still looks good. The baja has all new wiring with a watson street works fuse box and harness. the motor is probably the best part of this build. We spent alot of time and money on this baby. We started with a 79 block, put in a scat 1776cc rebuild kit with a cam set up for low end torque. A pair of new heads were installed and a pair of kadron karbs were built and jetted for this engine. New doghouse style engine tin allong with some Chrome goodies like a new alternator and oil refill neck, degree pulley, valve covers etc... This motor has not been broken in yet and has less then 5 miles on it. What still needs to be done : the interior (headliner, seat covers etc...), needs baja tires (stock tires have fair amount of tread to be driven on) , the dash has no radio and a few holes that need to be filled with switches. the hood has no rubber seal, the fresh air/heat vents in the trunk are not connected. and most recently because the car is just sitting, the rear brake wheel cylinder is now leaking. The car is registered with the dmv as a non op vehicle. (that means you drive it home at your own risk of getting a ticket) buyer is responsible for pick up of vehicle. I am willing to be as helpfull as possible if you are having it transported with a freight service.good luck and if you have questions I will respond every evening after work. e mail me for a short video of the motor running.
