up for your bidding pleasures is this '61 bug of mine... I've been holding on to this vehicle for a long period of time and have been very selective on the parts that I have for it. First of all lets start with the motor, it is a 1300cc dual port with 34 itc webber carburetors it has a fancy oil filler tube made out of aluminum I believe, also a big nut tranny so that it does not struggle with the torque of the motor. All new brakes all the way around. The bug comes with 4 smoothie wheels and 4 chrome caps, the two front tires are new and it will need the rear replaced very soon. the iterior is brand new along with the door panels from TMI a freshly polished chrome ash tray for the rear pasanger panel is also included. I know the pictures do not do it justice as I started taking it apart for paint. This vehicle was registered just until two months ago when I brought it into the garage and started removing the windows to get it ready for paint but unfortunately I had to stop working on my project and start getting come money up! the car runs strong and it idles really well, Please check out the video on youtube and sorry but the Fuch wheels are gone. The bug has a Gene Berg short throat Shifter, a big racing accelerating pedal. it also has a very nice Carriage steering wheel with a clean horn button. The dash is intact with the original dealership 100,000k badge. There will be a sapphire bandix original radio included with the deal as well. I have all the glass and all of the rubber and could have it installed prior to shipping or boxed carefully so that you can take the car straight to paint before putting it back together. The windshield is brand new along with the gasket. the car will need a carpet kit and a headliner along the with canvas for the ragtop (only like 100 bucks) I do have the ragtop mechanism which is the expensive part. All of the electrical works fine and I just installed an electric starter because it needed it due to the motor being so bad ass! lol Anyway the headlights have a very sought after mesh chrome metal rally guards which do come with the bug and look awesome! I was once approached by a hollywood vehicle scout asking if I would convert it into a Herbie. I believe this one would be perfect for that!
