For sale is a ultra rare X-drag Gm Promo from General Motors Per Original owner 1968 chevelle L79 (Rare 365hp Corvette engine option) 327 4 Speed white with red bucket seat convertible from New England drag way with rare options still rolling on the rear chrome reverse wheels on drag slicks, and 15x5 front ralley wheels that was just uncovered after many years of being in a storage container awaiting restoration. This is a ultra rare find with only 4082 L79 chevelles ever produced in 1968 coupes and convertibles!!!. Coupes were common but how many convertibles were produced that became know drag cars at the track? This car has a devotional special 796- ordered with the red front bucket seats which is a special order option in 1968. It still retains the factory roller 6000 rpm tachometer that was only for L79 and big block 396 375hp cars in 1968. It has the factory front power dual 1968 piston front disc brakes with high performance disc brake proportioning valve, front bucket seats, glass back top window, rear mount antenna. The car currently has a 1962 1963 196? Dated impala?? 283 small block engine setting in the engine bay and muncie was removed and is long gone and missing. I have not seen a L79 convertible ever, so to find this one is very very unexpected. Car has had floors and frame oiled throughout the years to preserve floors and frame. Overall this car is solid with some small patchable holes that are small. Bumpers are included but have been removed for storage. This is one to find that can not be missed.
