Vehicle Detail

Reserve is 5k This is a great car. Completely restored and/or upgraded. Stripped down to bare metal and built back up. All steel, the only Bondo is over the grinder marks as seen in the photos. This was rebuilt to be a safe daily driver. The economy changed while it was in the shop it took several years :( and now it has to go. Below is a mostly complete list of things done: Engine: 225 Slant-6 Engine late model (hydraulic lifters) Engine & Drivetrain work with less than 8K miles: New intake & exhaust manifolds Rebuilt 2-barrel carburetor Rebuilt Torqueflite Push-Button Transmission Converted to high performance Electronic Ignition (no points) Drive Train Upgrades (about 15K miles) Modern split brake system Front Discs (V-8 70’s Mopar) 1972 Scamp rear-end 14 inch large bolt pattern wheels New parts with less than 8K miles: · High Output Alternator · Radiator · Water Pump · Oversized Exhaust System · Starter and Solenoid · Fuel tank · Hoses, Belts & Fuel lines Suspension · V8 Torsion Bars (less than 15K) · New Heavy-duty sway bars front and rear (less than 8K) Body - Less than 8k, about 6 years ago Body entirely stripped, walnut-shell blasted and sealed All chrome re-plated, all stainless steel polished Replaced about 6 years ago, less than 8k miles: · Windshield · Power top, rams, hoses and pump · Door, trunk, window and top seals · Floor & firewall sound-dampening · Custom carpet · Replica interior dash, door panels, kick panels Seats ‘97 Sebring front seats with shoulder harness, driver’s side power New floor pans with custom reinforcement for shoulder-harness seats Full seat control module installed Full Alarm and GPS tracking system New Custom air conditioning/heater/defrost system (Condensor & compressor removed but may be re-installed easily) New custom built wiring harnesses New fuse-box (spade fuses) Custom California car cover plus replacement parts & lots of extras Many original ads and memorabilia from 1963 also included. Owners manual, magazine articles etc. This is a dependable car you can drive everyday. Appraised at $23,000 (a few years ago) and there was more than twice that invested over the years. The car looks good - no doubt about it. Not pristine. The chrome has some dings and things like that but it really is a sweet car. The paint peeled a little under the gas filler hole is another example. The tank was full and the car was parked sideways on a hill so a little gas was slowly seeping it out for over a few days. There is a place where someone opened a door and hit it and you can see lines in the chrome of the 50 year old bumpers but only if you are close to it. Here is a link to over 100 pictures of the restoration: http://www.flickr.com/photos/21761776@N04/sets/72157603441752380/ The car is in Berkeley CA and is available to be seen in person. Misc items: The backseat arm rests are MISSING and so are the ash trays in the rear. The front arm rests are slightly different colors from one another. The paint is VW Beetle blue I think it is 2005 on - easy to find for touch ups. The seat controller sits in-between the front seats. The chrome is too shinny to show that it is aged but obviously it still looks pretty good. There is also a picture of the new fuse box and the new wiring harness. It was a huge undertaking getting that done. All connectors with heat shrink and all with good wire. Things don't go dim when you turn on the lights. The insignia on the trunk is NOT from a Signet. It came with the trunk lid and is in pretty decent shape. The GPS tracking alarm deal needs to be renewed but it only costs something like $100 a year. I've got the paperwork for that too. But the alarm (a totally separate deal from the tracking) works great - open the door or hood and it goes off. I had them adjust down the motion thing but it has that too. All professionally installed in a shop that specializes in custom cars. The top is cloth and so is the liner on the inside. The top wiring harness and the rear wiring harness were mostly rebuilt - meaning new connectors and some new wires. Everything else - under the dash and under the hood are all new. Even the gaskets around the taillights are new. There is also about the most expensive car cover you can buy in the trunk. The spare wheel is good but not painted / powder coated like the four that are on the car.
