Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD Diesel Limited. If you are looking at this auction, chances are you know about this Jeep Liberty CRD. They are rare and unique because there are too few of them around. ( I have had no problems getting parts for this car even though they don't sell them in the USA anymore) Jeep offered a Diesel in the Liberty from 2005 to 2006. I've read that only 12,000 Diesel Liberty's a year were built. Due to EPA's strict emission laws, Chrysler discontinued this option in the USA after 2006. They are still offering this option in Europe. This Jeep is built in Toledo, Ohio. And the Diesel engine was built by VM Motori in Italy. I'm the original owner. I have a clear title in hand. Very Good condition, with low miles for being 7 years old. Only 49,238 miles. I ordered this Liberty from MacCausland-Williams Jeep (not in business anymore) dealer in Devon, PA back in March 2005. I took delivery of it in May 2005. This was our family car. This Jeep comes from a non-smoking family. No Pets in car except when I would take our cat (in a cat carrier) to the Vets once a year, since 2007. This Jeep has spent it's life in Pennsylvania for 5 years and Virginia for 2 years now. I have too many cars now, time to sell one. I have performed all the regular service, i.e. oil changes, brakes, air filter etc. I changed the oil every 7,500 miles with Mobil 1 0w-40, which the Owners manual calls for. I actually changed the Oil and Filter at 571 miles just as a precaution after I broke in the engine as per the Jeep Owners Manual. I have changed the Fuel filter 3 times since new. I waxed it once a year. I used Griot leather protector on the seats often. Tried to keep the interior looking at it's best. I would take it to the car wash after every winter to have the under carriage sprayed to remove any road salt. I have just changed the oil and oil filter and also the fuel filter. I put new Uniroyal tires on it 1,615 miles ago. Replaced front and rear brake pads last September, about 6,000 miles ago. I had the coolant flushed a t a Sunoco Service center at 34,582 miles on 4/20/10. Battery replaced about 3 years ago. I also had to replace the glow plugs (2 went bad so I did all 4) and the EGR valve went bad at the same time, so I replaced that as well. That was back on 4/13/10. The spare tire is in excellent condition. I never used it and it is always covered up with the spare tire cover, except when I would be hauling around our bicycle's with the bike rack. Cosmetically, It is in pretty good shape for being 7 years old and used as a family car. Most notable defects/flaws, is a 3 inch long dent in the passenger side front door. That happened at Home Depot parking lot. I went in to shop and when I came out I saw this dent in the door. I'm guessing somebody car door did it or somebody banged their shopping cart into the door. I'll I know is, I wasn't happy. There is some small scratches in the left front fender. Tried to wax it out, with no such luck. There are a couple scratches right rear fender and left rear fender. They are in the photos I'm listing. The passenger front leather seat got a 2 inch scratch in it, from rubbing something over it. Didn't tear, but you can see it in the photos. The passenger side speaker crackles sometimes under heavy bass. Wan't bad enough for me to replace it. My now 4 year old daughter about a year ago turned the volume up real quick and loud (I turned it down as fast as I could) I think this is what damage it. The oil dipstick handle is cracked. I did this by mistake when I was in there replacing the glow plugs and EGR valve. It still works and I tried to glue it (didn't work). Just never replaced it. My son brushed up against the front left bumper with his ATV power wheels and scuffed the paint. This Liberty has no body rust. Mechanically, it runs and drives very well. The Diesel engine runs well. (it only has 49,248 miles on it) I'm getting 19-21 mpg city driving. 28-30 mpg highway driving and when I have the Van Aaken smartbox hooked up I was getting 31-33 mpg on highway. The transmission shifts properly, 4X4 works as it should. Engine block heater works. A/C blows cold. Power door locks work. Power windows work. Radio and CD player works. Cruise works. All electronics work. Drives straight. (This Jeep was never in an accident) All recalls are up to date. I just had it in the Jeep dealer (Manassas Jeep in Virginia) last week to have a recall performed. It was L27 recall. They replace the rear lower control arms. And they replaced a faulty oil pressure sending unit. The oil pressure light started coming on erratically 2 weeks ago. No more warning light. Works just fine. I also had them appraise the Liberty. They offered me $10,500 for trade-in. The only real problem we had with this Liberty was an intermittent stalling problem when we first got it. The torque convertor would stay lock up when you would come to a stop. (It acted like if it was a manual transmission and you didn't put the clutch in coming to a stop). Chrysler finally came up with a fix. It was recall number F27. They replaced the torque convertor, new transmission fluid and filter and they re-flashed the ECU with new software. This was performed at 14,248 miles. We never had the problem since. This Liberty comes with the original floor mats (replaced them with OEM Jeep rubber floor mats) Thule spare tire bike rack. Van Aaken smart box. (for more power and better fuel milage) 2 remote keys. All the books. All receipts when I had it worked on. Orginal window sticker. Jeep Service manual on DVD. And a full tank of Diesel. I have the Liberty in my garage and will not drive it until the auction has ended. Unfortunately, the Factory warranty expired in May 2012. Otherwise I would transfer it to the new owner. So on that note, Vehicle is AS-IS. NO WARRANTY. $500.00 deposit due via PayPal 3 days after auction ends and Full payment due 7 days after auction ends. I will only except a Certified Bank Check. Please do not hesitate to ask questions. Ask for additional photos if need be. (for some reason eBay only allows 24 photos) Please don't bid if you don't plan on buying this Liberty. I have tried to describe and disclose everything I could think of. I take pride in my 100% feedback and plan to keep it that way! Thanks for looking and good luck if you bid.
